Dopps has been trying to provoke all year with his garbage. Spasto stayed in hiding until the losing streak, but you know he was licking his lips all year long hoping for a chance to troll the Leafs.
- Feeling Glucky?

Pointing out the shortcomings of the leafs, is not "Provoking" it's for the most part, a matter of record, and is backed up with stats, or a second opinion.

Again, I've never posted in any thread in the leafs forum.

Can't say the same for the leaf trolls.

Ryan missed 12 games. That's not that much. The ~60 games Bolland missed... that's a lot.

You said Ottawa's top-6 was better offensively than the Leafs' top-6. Mind you, I assumed you were talking about goals, not points, when you said scoring... so I posted the numbers that showed you were wrong.... the story doesn't change too much when talking about points per game either.

- Feeling Glucky?

Scoring goals that win games in regulation and over time count just a little more than those that win via a shoot out. Clearly the leafs would have fared better if they had won a handful more games in regulation, like a couple vs Detroit.

BTW, Ottawa has one more ROW than the leafs.

November: 13 games
9 losses

December: 14 games
8 losses

That’s 17 losses over 27 games. Was Bernier injured back then as well?

But, end of the day, they're still in a better position than the Sens.

By what measuring stick?

Points?
Standings?

Until the Leafs get a competent GM I'm not sure they will be in a better position than anyone in the league.

Senators had 5 players score 20 or more goals. That is a very strong showing.

PS- the person bringing up nagging injuries was dopps- i just responded with the same logic...

There you go lying again.

What a classic troll move.
I replied to your insane posting that said the Senators were healthy all year.

I enlightened you, by pointing out that it was not true.

It's SO EASY to catch you in a lie.

One team collapsed after their starter got injured.

The other was a nothing team all season, despite being healthy, and trading for rentals... and has an owner who sees the team as his piggy bank, rather than something to build. I guess getting revenue sharing cheques from the NHL is better than risking money to improve the team.

No pick, very little to be envious of on the main roster(save for their 4th forward defenseman, with less defensive awareness than Kessel), and an owner who won't spend on the team. There really isn't a way to compare Ottawa to a Toronto team other than the Marlies... except, you know, unlike both our NHL teams, they're doing well.

It is strong with you, the Spin.

Spezza had back surgery over the summer, and was playing at less than 100% for at least half the season, and even took time off while recovering from it. Karlsson is still recovering from his surgery and also played the entire season at less than 100%, and the same can be said for Michalek who also had off season surgery on his knee.

Oh don't forget Ryan, who suffered an injury (requiring surgery) in mid November and played with it until the latter part of the season.

You're just grasping at straws now that the leafs ended up, looking up, at the Senators in the standings.

And blaming an injured, unproven starter as the reason the leafs choked away their lofty place (third in conference) with only 24 game to go in the season, is just ridiculous, if you actually believe that.

geeeesh, you got to get better at keeping track of your lies.

I understand that losing your #1 goalie hurts.

But the thing is, just last year, James Reimer was labelled a #1 goalie and at the start of the season, glucker among many others was claiming the Leafs had the best goalie tandem in the league.

Who's to say Bernier won't suffer the same faith as Reimer next season and falter?

- Pecafan Fan

NO NO NO........don't point out the similarities that some leafs fans said about a similar situation..............are you trying to provoke them????

I see nothing in my post about nagging injuries.

Since every player has nagging injuries throughout the season, "healthy" is usually used to describe teams that didn't lose key players, or had very few man-games lost.

spin away, dopps, never face those facts.

with the way the leafs play... Bernier/Reimer has to be well above average .925+ for the leafs to win.. and its just not reasonable to expect that through a full season.

they need a new coach/system/approach that doesnt give up 36 shots a game

THose numbers clearly show how far below 900 he was near the end, and definitely show a player collapsing, and not just a goalie coming off an injury.

I'm convinced that Ottawa has really nice banners. In the end that is all that matters since both teams are garbage.
