Okay last point, Mrs. Spatso wants to go right now.

Both teams are playing really well and it has created an awkward momentary truce. Love to see the Sens prevail.
Love Phaneuf, the warrior, who battles so hard every night for his teammates.
Love the fact that the Sens are playing so well as a team.
Not happy that the Leafs are playing so well.
Was more fun when they were losing.
I will not wish ill for anyone.
But, I would be thrilled to see Leafs go back to their Keystone Cops routine.

I think he had a stroke at the end there
- Feeling Glucky?

I just got this mental imagine of someone taking their wife to the electronics department of a Best Buy on her Birthday to look at a TV you aren't going to buy.

I spit out some coffee.

Leafs still ahead in the standings. standings matter.

leafs have gone through a pretty good schedule facing teams like rangers hawks habs devils and jets. doing well. great to see the Leafs with the best offense in the league.

when the Leafs start playing lesser quality teams like the wings nucks sens...i think theyll hit their stride.

leafs arent even playing their best hockey yet and still only lost 1 of 5 games. theyll be a scary team when that happens.

Same games played, same points.

Sens have had the traditionally horrid western road trip to start, AND have been without Karlsson.

Leafs have faced two teams (Chicago and Jersey) coming in playing really good hockey and Montreal who is always tough on both teams and Andersen has been horrible so far (not bad last night).

Leafs rookie on D looks good, as does Sens.

So far, early in, you have to give the edge to the Sens. The Leafs D and goaltending has been bad, as usual, and the Sens had the western swing AND are missing Karlsson and their GF is not that far behind the Leafs.

I think that is the key. Sens overall more impressive to start, but the Leafs aren't playing even as well as last year and the Sens are firing on all cylinders the last 2 games, even without Karlsson.

Leafs are slow starters as is Anderson. they've also had a tougher schedule overall. theyre ahead on the tie breaker. sens playing their best hockey. leafs arent. i expect the Leafs to ramp things up by november or december.

Took my kid to an indoor playground today in Milton. There was a man with a Sens jersey. He looked like he could use a shower and some washed/ironed clothes.

anyways, it was his kids birthday apparently. the kid starts crying and throwing a fit during his gift openings. apparently dad got him a Karlsson jersey. the kid wanted a "Toronto Auston Maffews" jersey.

i found it interesting. felt awful for the kid though.

Remember when you were discounting Leafs' overtime wins a few seasons back, because they had too many?

Now you're touting your team's 2 ROW in 5 games played as the second best start.

- Feeling Glucky?

your memory is a little fuzzy there my friend. It was last year that the leafs lead the NHL with 15 points from loses in OT and Shootout.

I was replying to a poster who was claiming Ottawa has had a "decent start" to this season .............. but with only one team with a higher P%, and Ottawa being one of two teams that have yet to be beaten in regulation, I was suggesting he was of the mark on that.

But twist my words around, and imply something completely in line with your narrative, if that what it takes to sleep at night.

I almost forgot how you used to argue Points % didn't matter.

- Feeling Glucky?

WOW, what a liar you are.

I was the first one to point out P% as the best way to rank teams during the season, when teams have not played the same number of games ........... once the NHL started to award the "loser point" to teams losing in OT and the Stupid Shootout.

Your lies just keep getting bigger and bigger don't they.

And much to systemfools regret, the Sens have a better goal differential ............. for now, I don't expect that to last.
