I will definitely be watching as well. But I don't take solace losing to the eventual champ, I prefer the revenge factor. Rooting for Edmonton |

Hey Jan, I'll definitely been be watching cause that's what hockey people do. They watch hockey and it sucks when there is no hockey on. - climbdenali12
For sure! I'll enjoy every game without the anxiety of a rooting interest although obviously wish the Rangers were in it.
Kinda rooting for McDavid to win the Cup although don't care either way. Gut is Florida though. |

Im watching and rooting for the Panthers. Want a new team to win the Cup. Hate the Oilers and pissed they got 2 generational talents in their history. They were rewarded with multiple number 1 picks because they couldnt build a good team. Buffalo got cheated out of Mcdavid. |

I will certainly be watching. Because in 2 more weeks we start the withdrawal process, with no hockey to watch for 4(ish) months.
I'm torn on who I'm cheering for. On one hand, if NY can't win I'd like to finally see the Cup come back to Canada. But, I've spent years now wishing to see Edmonton continue to flounder for their seemingly short-sighted team building methods. It would be a much easier decision if it were Winnipeg! |

Good luck with that. |

One thing that surprised me by the end of the Florida series is that I really don't hate them like I thought I would. They've got some hard nosed guys but that was a pretty well fought series without a lot of extra curriculars. There were some big hits early on and the officiating was pretty rotten the whole time but I really just gained a lot more respect for Florida rather than hate.
It makes choosing who to root for tough. Part of me feels like McDavid is going to win soon so might as well be the year when we are out already so I'm leaning towards them but I really wouldn't mind seeing guys like Barkov and Tkachuk win |

If there were more charts, I'd think that you wrote that article.
That guy sounds like a clown fairly often throughout that. He says some positive things, but in a way that makes you sure he doesn't actually mean them. I bet you anything he was writing articles a year ago about how incredible Zibanejad is and how underrated by the hockey world. Now, instead of saying he had a down year, it's that he's the biggest "we got looks, have to bury them." player in the game. Clown.
And while I am not blind about Trouba's game and shortcomings, to say "he has the cushiest job in the world." is so disingenuous as to be worthy of dismissal. I'd love to see this d ick throw his body in front of 300 NHL shots a season. Clown.
Reporting to a narrative has become the level of journalism we should expect nowadays, apparently. (Apologies Jan, I don't include you in that statement!!!!!) |

I'm sure his stat is skewed from playing only a few games. |

Thats the authors opinion, nothing more!!
But he does make some good points. To think Mika and Panarin will get better with age is pushing the envelope.
We will see. |

You have to expect regression from panarin next year not bc of age but bc it was a career year. Do not think he has an even better year. Still a 90-100 point player
