Panthers in 6 but i wouldn’t be surprised if 5 either

I could see the Oilers winning in 5 games, although if Florida can stay out of the penalty box then this could go 6 or 7 games. The wildcard is Skinner. If he falters then I could see Florida winning a close series. Cut. Paste.

At the Athletic LeBrun surveyed 17 head coaches and 16 GM's. 29 of the 33 picked Florida. 80% of the Athletic writers picked FL. At Seravalli's site 5 of the 8 picked the Oilers, same as picked Tampa over Colorado in '22.

Cats will likely look dominant in every game just like versus NYR and win in 5 or 6. After beating Vasilevskiiy, Swayman and Shesterkin in a row I just don't see them falling to Stuart Skinner. I think last year's experience will be an advantage plus they're healthier and a better group than last year.

Cats in 5. More physical and better depth, plus take the Cats d over Edmonton and Bob over Skinner any day. Only thing that could tilt the series is the refs calling things. Can guarantee more Oiler crying about officiating right out of the gate.

As a CanadiAn, some feel like you need to root for any team but your home team to be the first to bring the cup back north. I personally feel after a couple of hoodwinks(Pronger suspended twice in one round, ahem)..teams about to go bankrupt and ironically win the cup against a Canadian team...

Anyhoo..the look on McJesus and Draisatl's face after each winning round, they are like animals looking for more blood. Don't care for the supporting cast as much but this team is finally built for this..also props to the coach, well placed coaching decisions throughout the season and series..

However, damn is FLA not a beast, this is going to be better than if the Stars moved through for sure.

Tkachuk hasn't even really done anything yet. Verhaeghe/Barkov..still no real Reinhart or Bennett..like to there full potential and yet this team is a shutdown machine.

Officiating is the only thing that can stop Florida. Oilers play terrified to let the other team get a shot on Skin. Go Cats.

McDavid knows he may never get back on this stage again. Making the finals gets harder and harder every year. So, many good young teams trying to get better.

McDavid will play the best hockey of his career. Florida will defend him well. But McDavid will put up multiple points in every game and be the difference maker.

Putting the obvious conspiracy theory overtones aside...isn't smaller markets growing exactly what everyone wants? Smaller markets getting more popular and profitable is good for the league as a whole.
