Bettman is in the situation room with a bunch of egg heads running calculations as to how much a call would benefit the league financially one way or the other. |

But - but many posters say the league favors the Bruins, as evidenced by the string of Cups they have won.
Oh, wait a second...

What a bunch of crybabies. Marchand returned in the second period and put a hard hit on Stenlund, a big center. He knocked him to the ground. I don't think he felt too bad from the Bennett hit if he could do that. I think he was injured when he twisted his body from the Bennett hit. They were looking at his side.
Second of all, Charlie Coyle was in the blue paint impeding his goalie to begin with. He had no idea where the puck was and was even facing his own goalie when Bennett shoved him out of the way so he could shoot the puck. The reality is that the Bruins are being outcoached and they have no chemistry with their lines. |

I mean, if that were the case would he want the Original 6 major market team to benefit? |

Having guys in Toronto, who just got beat by the Bruins, make a judgement call like that is suspect at best. That said, its not the reason they lost the game. |

I liked when officials were identified back in the day! Had their names on jersey! You’d see Gregson or Stewart or whomever, and the fan usually had an idea of how the game was going to be called. It was part of the discussion!! Leaf/Habs playing Saturday, awesome who’s officiating……it’s Gregson, crap gonna be tight penalty game. It’s was all good fun. |

Eklund: Stewart: Situation Room Officials Should Be Identified - Eklund
"But I have another concern here. Whenever we say about replay reviews, 'The call was made by the Situation Room in Toronto' or simply 'Toronto', what the hell does THAT mean? The call wasn't made by the entire city of Toronto.
Considering what the Bruins did to them..... |

I was at that game and almost every fan had no idea what transpired afterward until we saw it on the news. Felt like that guy had an axe to grind for years.
Anyway, no love for Boston (maybe because of that series) but that goalie interference non-call was surely suspect. What's the point of having video review if they still can't get it right? |

These goalie interference calls are ridiculous Goalies are now catching on They are very slick at moving into the guy on top of the crease and creating the interference themselves Guys just standing there screening and the goalie comes to them and makes contact and then goalie int is called Really I remember days when goalies were run over and no calls were made Now the goalies are trying their hand at creating illusions of interference But when a forward pushes a Dman into the goalie that is goalie int Case closed These little ticky tacky bs things are ridiculous |

Yeah ScoreBet is up there. Bar stool, in particular, Spittin Chiclets was pushing it big time not too long ago. However I don't think gambling is related to their decision cause there is no proof of that.
Here is the actual fact though:
The situation room ruled that Bennet's shove didn't impede Swayman from making a save. So it was a good goal. No tin foil hats, no conspiracies. Thems the breaks. |

I wonder if Ek has ever been in the "Situation Room"? Like as an observer? He was on the ice for 8 or 9 Cup celebrations so maybe has connections to see the situation room and see how they operate. |

Agree 100% about Bennett's goal. Coyle was in the crease and there was no way Swayman was going to get across without sliding into Coyle even if Bennett had not touched Coyle. The Bruins goose was cooked on that goal. |

The NHL has been manipulated for decades. People look to soccer as a corrupt sport. Wrong it’s the NHL. At least soccer lets you know the names of the replay assistants for each game. The NHL is very similar to the wwe |

How about replacing American pos lawyers with hockey people? Americans leading major pro sports leagues as commissioners put bandages & bs rules in place for lack of hockey experience or knowledge. All about the bottom line & rarely about the purity of the sport. |
