Well done Sean thank you!!

Pretty torn here want the Canucks to move on but Oilers gonna be very tough and probably have a better shot to get to the SCF.

Get ready for a fun series and some trolling...

Nervousness. Oiler fans know this could be the last time they have both McDavid and Draisaitl for the playoffs. No WCF, the Grerman informs them that he doesn’t intend to sign an extension again.

Nice read. Pretty biased take, cherry picking the final months stats to make Oiler fans feel better is good for the brand, I guess. If you look at the entirety of the season, these two teams on paper they are a really even match up, but as stated paper doesn't matter.

Clean slate for both teams. This is going to be a great series, very close. Vancouver will be happy to relish in the "underdog with home ice advantage" position. This doesn't happen often.

One of the realities that wasn't pointed out, is Vancouver has had a season that can already be chalked up as a great success, where the Oilers are a team expected to challenge for the cup. Anything less than a finals appearance wouldn't be enough to claim a success. All of the pressure lands squarely on the shoulders of the Oilers. The Canucks are playing with house money.

I've got to back the Canucks as none of the professional pundits will. Coaching is a strength for this team, They have been counted out from game one of the season, have continued to execute the coaches plans without question. They continue to rise to the moment and defy the predictions. Round 2 will be no different.

Go Canucks Go!

Thanks for the write-up Sean, much appreciated.

I'm going to go ahead and say what most are thinking...

Oilers in 4.

As much as I used to completely loathe the pathetic Canucks and their fair-weather fans, I love Tochett and a few of their players have impressed me a lot on and off the ice. Having said that, with the loss of Demko (who really is an arse actually), I don't think the Canucks are in the right mindset. Meanwhile, the Oilers are focused on winning the next 12 games, not just the next one.

Maybe the Canucks can sneak out a win, but I think they're going to get absolutely stomped! They'll fall behind, start playing like the whiney brats, and then the PP will bury them.

who knows...but that's my prediction.

it took the Oilers PP to beat LA and people are expecting the Oilers to cake-walk over Vancouver????

I really hope Vancouver proves everyone wrong..

Keys to success for Vancouver:

Stay out of the box
Shutdown McDavid, Draisaitl, Nuge and Hyman as best as you can..
Play physical

This series feels a lot like The Edmonton-Calgary one from 2022, and I think it will go the same.
