Stamkos and Hedman will resign and retire as Lightning.

At forward, Point, Hagel, Ducherov, Cirelli, and Paul are safe. Essyimont probably safe also because of the value contract-wise.

On defense, Hedman, Sergachev, and Cernak aren't going anywhere. The rest is up in the air.

They need a solid backup option at goalie.

They're in Pittsburgh hell now. Aging HOF core with a rotating cast of 2nd rate replacement players as depth. Too good to rebuild or tank, but not good enough to truly contend. I think they retool, hope Vasi regains Vezina form, and take another kick at the can.
