If you dont find the lack of production from Mika's line at least a little worrisome now then you will be in for a shock if they lose in the playoffs. You cant have no production from your first line. 5 different wingers now and he still cant find a way. This is on Mika.

Great blog Jan!

Sheesh. Tough game

Gus needs to come out of the lineup for Jones. Jones has earned that spot, and Gus has done nothing to keep it since returning from injury. Pair Jones with Trouba and Miller with Schneider. Can't be worse than what we saw last night.

Rempe will bring 3x more to the team & building in his 5 minutes of play than JBrod could in 10. The garden just wakes up when he is on the ice. The team notices it. He's gotta play. He also keeps other teams in check. Hathaway isnt scared of fucking Barclay Goodrow. He was laughing at Goodrows attempt at retaliation

Lastly, I know Quick has been great for us and I don't want to take anything away from the season he's had. But man, sometimes he tries to make saves and he just ends up looking so out of position. The goal he let up on Konecny at the end of the second seemed like it couldve been saved if he just squared up to the shooter. He drops his right pad and his glove lowers at that point leaving the entire top corner open. That goal was a back breaker. Although Quick was not solely to blame there. Mika gets his shot blocked from the point in the offensive zone, and then fails to pick up Konecny on the way back. Just wish Quick couldve bailed us out.

Burn the tape and move on. Still have two games to get it together before playoffs. We control our destiny. Big exhale fellas.....we'll be okay

Agree with everyone else, Miller and Schneider need to be put back together. They have very familiar skill sets and are good enough skaters to make up for a mistake by the other. Trouba can’t do that for Miller as he’s become ridiculously one dimensional.

I’d keep trying different looks on Mika’s line (although I do agree he’s the main culprit). Why not try Wennberg there for a game and let JBrod center Kakko and Cuylle?

It’s really hard to not just off the rails in here emotionally during games after a performance like that last night. I am still sick over it and how that team played so blah last night. I was thinking to myself what would Mike Keenan have done after a performance like that? This BFF shyt between Mika and Kreids is annoying too when they both have been extremely underwhelming 5v5. I wore Millers jersey last night. I immediately came home and threw it in the donation pile my wife set aside for the cleaning ladies since the Flyers mopped the floor with him last night.

Only this team would lose this game. I have so many thoughts and opinions that would send people right into the deep end.

in 1994 season , right before deadline, they did have a game that bad vs Chicago at MSG that precipitated the deadline deals, but , as we know, deadline has past and this is what we've got

that was bad last night, probably worse game K'Andre has ever played and he's had some bad ones this season

but the whole team had no energy, it was piss poor performance from first drop of the puck

I really wanted Roslovic to work but I honestly don’t know where he fits on this team. Not ideal heading into the playoffs

From the game thread. TPC, thank you for putting so eloquently. Because this the nicest way to something of this guy.

I do too Tony. Obviously posted as sarcasm for engagement on X. Unfunny and a poor attempt at getting people riled up. But there are some inbreds on X so I am sure it'll work lol

He brings nothing. Wennberg isn’t scoring but at least is good on the forecheck and great in his own end. Roslovic can’t score or play defense. I honestly don’t know if he should play game 1 of the playoffs. Makes you wish Drury had another legit target other than Guentzel at the deadline

Just so damn annoying. They could have the top seed locked up. If they end up having to play a game 7 in Carolina this year they can only blame themselves

Oh if we're getting to this, lets do it.

I hate Roslovic. To my core. I hate him so much that what I'm about to say is going to shocked the thread. I'd rather have last year's version of Patrick Kane over Roslovic. They cannot get rid of this guy fast enough. I'd rather have Othmann or Perreault. I know Perreault isn't realistic option.

So many people wanted him locked up long term
After one game. He has the chance to change the narrative in the playoffs but man just don’t see anything in his game

One name. 5 syllables. 18 years of age. Gabriel Perreault. 1g 2a last night in BCs 4-0 win. Sign him, put him with mika and kreider, win the cup

Worthless. Wennberg is fine, but he hasn't been great either. You know understand why when they made the Roslovic is was not thrilled. Now, he can't see UFA soon enough.

Tall ask for Gabe. And I dont think NYR brass have any interest in rushing his development. It would be interesting, though.

Othmann probably has a higher likelihood of getting a game in but even that is doubtful imo. I do agree we need a jolt in the arm for our 1RW spot

We didn’t give up much for roslovic asset wise, but opportunity cost wise it could’ve been someone better. Maybe he ends up as a scratch if Othmann or someone else (cough cough Perreault) make a case for themselves.

A girl can dream. Idk what else he has left to prove at the college level even after one season and I don’t think he can play in the ahl because of that stupid age rule

I really dont believe there was an opportunity to get someone better, considering it happened at last minute

it almost was Pacioretty, and then ended up Roslovic

I'm sure that will carry a lot of weight here.
