You're right TJ, there is no place for Rempe in the hunt for the Prez Trophy (or the playoffs) although it was nice to see him get a shift after the game was wrapped up.
If he works on skating and discipline he'll be a real force in a season or two.

Agreed. If for some reason we draw for example Washington and Wilson is taking liberties in the first few games and the Rangers need to change the mindset, I could see him getting in.

With that said I think a 21-22-26 line will be very effective against any possible first round opponent.

Really like the way we're trending going into this year's playoffs. No drop in intensity in these April games yet, nice spacing of games every other night to get into that playoff rhythm, and certain players getting going at the right time.

I also love the vibes of having Lavy in his 1st year and the type of TDL we had. Both are historically speaking great indicators of a deep run ahead

Needs have a way better 200 foot game. If that line will not score much 5v5 they have to shutdown other teams top lines. Rosy was not playing well in his own end.

It’s a shame we didn’t save that pick for a guy with a 15% chance of playing in 2033

The Rangers aren't a wussy team anymore like back then. Rangers now got guys that can throw down, even without the Rempire state building. Goodrow, Trouba, Miller, Vesey, Schneider, Cuylle, Kreids can all stand toe to toe with most. Even Vinny can kick ass

No one you just mentioned is going toe to toe with Wilson though.

Hey, Smitty did!!
And, hopefully, we will not be anywhere near a situation where we need to engage with Wilson.

BSmith held his own, why not Trouba? I hear you tho, not many teams have a Wilson. I hope thats Cuylle at some point in the future.

Seems like every time Smith tries to go toe to toe without of those guys he loses.

That tends to happen when one steps out of one's weight class. I was just citing that it can be done.

Oh I know. I'm sure his teammates appreciate it. But he just takes so many poop kicking.

Lemme throw this out there potentially...

Why not use Wennberg as the RW on a line with 20 and 93? I know it puts him on his off wing, but hes played quite well. He may have a playing style that could be more complementary to them.

Roslovic would then slot into Wennberg's spot as 3C. He played C for a good chunk of his career, could be worth a try.

I’m not saying guys can’t “hold their own”. Trouba, Goodrow, maybe Kreider, but none of those guys mentioned are stopping Wilson from running all over the place in a 7 game series. Would need a guy like Rempe to stop that and I’m not even sure he’s up for that yet. I wouldn’t be afraid of WSH though or Wilson, just pointing out none of our current players are ready to slow him down from running all over the ice in a 7 game series

They could bring Edstrom back into the fold. Hes obviously not nearly as exciting as Rempe but hes definitely a much better skater.
