*chart that shows we had more expected goals*

*chart that shows we deserved to lose*

*chart that shows players game scores and Troubas is just a line of diarrhea*

*negative comment from tom*

*absolute meltdown from certain individuals. This is their 9/11. My name is thrown in there for some reason*

Thanks for the blog Jan!

I have really like how Zac Jones has looked. He should be a mainstay over Gus if/when Gus is 100% healthy. Jones has great vision and does a good job transitioning up the ice

Not a good night for the zebra's last night, either.
Cuylle had a bad moment there for that 3rd goal against, but it should never have happened. There were at least 2 obvious penalties against Pitt in the 45 seconds preceding that giveaway. McCauley is a clown.

I thought they played a pretty decent game. Pens were good defensively. Sticks in lanes all night. Just breakup 79/8

I felt like that was probably the Pens best game of the year. They played hard and well for 60 minutes.

The non call on Wennberg getting boarded was possibly the most egregious mistake of many made

F that. I will never cheer for them to lose. The players want to win, I want them to win. They just need to bang off 8 straight now and they might get in haha....

He turned at the last second, right as he was about to be checked. Wouldn't have been boarded if not. I think that was the reason for no call. This isn't to say there wasn't other things missed though, there was.

Jan- I think your point about Zib is an excellent one. For as much heat he has taken for his production shortage this year. He is responsible for stopping Crosby and MacKinnon and McDavid etc etc and has been outstanding both with my eyes and analytics

The sad thing is that it was a great road win against a better team. They did all of the basics right. They got back defensively, kept sticks in the lanes to disrupt passes/shots, got good goaltending, and created turnovers and chances.

The formula for the Penguins to be successful has always been there. They've just chosen not to do that consistently.

As expected, the other D pairs look the same: Lindgren and Fox; Miller and Trouba. #NYR

Praise Laviolette yesterday, and the disease of the Rangers coaches ignoring the obvious infects his brain. Perfect timing.
