But the commentary says 91 and the standings say 89. Of course, the Wings are also the team that sometimes plays 81 games and sometimes 83. Classic Buzztron. I wonder if it's self aware?

Also, not sure why you say it's a 3 team race for the final spot, but then you omit Washington. It's conceivable that Philly hangs on to 3rd given their soft schedule and it ends up being Washington-Detroit fighting for the wildcard. Not my base case, but still a reasonable chance. More probable than notions like Minnesota is still eyeing the playoffs.
