I agree with Garland, Miller has been top 5 this season.

Haven't heard much from Lefty and the guzzlers, telling us how great Pouty is. I wonder if the kid makes 90 points this seaon

11.6 mil for 8 years coming up. Something must be off he has barely looked like a 5 million dollar player since the all star break. Maybe we should have kept Horvat instead and got what we could've for Petey lol

Beautiful win yesterday afternoon, hard to get up for nooners, lol. They played as hard as they needed to, no sense overextending right next to the playoffs.

I’m sure there’s a few bumps and bruises that need mending. Some guys are hurting, need to heal up as they’re gonna need everyone in a tough Western Conference.

Thanks NYN. JTM said it best being okay is not good enough. Got to play great to win the big games.

Most notable players needed to step up are Petey, Lindy (when back) and Hronek; maybe Boeser. JTM and QH are achieving that more often. These core players all need to drive that great play with Demko. The rest will follow to make this team playoff ready.

Thanks NYN.
Nice recap.

Didn’t watch the game myself, but noticed that Sasson continues to score for the Abby Canucks.
I wonder why he hasn’t got a call up over Bains, who doesn’t look ready for the big leagues?
Or Karlson or even Raty.

I would put Miller at 8th best player in the league right now. Behind drafting Quinn Hughes he’s probably now the best thing Jim Benning ever accomplished while in Vancouver. Miller’s come a long ways from his lazy, pouty, days just a few years ago.

Hey York, thanks for the continued effort, I haven’t read your blogs for a while because of the absolute idiots that post here. They take a great blog and ruin it with their petty jabs at each other, real tough guys.

He’s such a wonderful talent, Canucks and their fans are lucky to have him!! He’ll continue to shine in Vancouver and make them a successful team, as a major contributor, as he has done the past two seasons. Probably end up top three in points for Canucks in their history. Top five draft pick in Canucks history!!

Ya of course.

Honestly the whole "guzzler" "guardian" poop is just getting tiring. Pages on pages of just juvenile crap... not that we all are above being juvenile, but it's just so much so constantly that bogs this place down and is turning people away from here

You know, I get it, but, some guys love the team but they don’t like the teams makeup. Which is fine.

In a free society you have to live with free speech, even if you would oppose it with every fiber of your being. Unless you’re a socialist and you want to control everything. Not you personally. Just a figure of speech.

I don’t always like every player on the team either, I hated Miller until Tocchet came along and directed him to grow up and be accountable. First half of the year I didn’t like Garlands game, but now he’s playing fantastic. I hate Podkolzin because he represents everything that was wrong with the Benning era, he’s a bad draft pick and a crap player, but he’s a great kid.

Playoffs baby!!!

a) I think you've spent too much time in America if you think this is some freedom of speech thing lol

b) hating players is fine, being vocal about it is fine (you hate Pod, I hate(d) Myers, we have both posted about it)... but it's the constant page upon page, blog after blog, week after week of childish name calling and jabs and redundant "arguments" that is tiring.

c) this is a private site with their own CoC so there actually isn't freedom of speech here

d) looking forward to playoffs – the first round is always the best

LOL….you’re right, it’s not freedom of speech, but rather, just being tolerant of others nauseating comments day after day, or just pass them over. There’s nothing in the CoC that’s says you’re not allowed to complain to no end.

First round is the best round, a lot of good teams will be going home, just hope it’s not the Canucks!!!

From Twitter…

Lastly, it was another strong night for the Carson Soucy and Tyler Myers pair. The duo played 15:18 together at even strength, with Vancouver holding a 7-3 high-danger chances advantage with them on the ice. Soucy and Myers were also the pairing on the ice for the game-winning goal while holding Anaheim's top six in check for the majority of the night. Ultimately, Soucy and Myers have developed into a strong pairing and one that will be crucial for the Canucks in the postseason.”

I’m quite ok with our D going into the PO’s. They have to clean it up a lil bit over these last 8 games. Namely break outs & a few missed assignments. Good depth & getting healthier. Time & space will get tougher.

You know, if the Canucks can get to 106 points it would be the third highest team point total in the teams 54 seasons. Behind only 2011’s 117 points and 2012’s 111 points. Wow, what a great season they’ve had!!!
