Sucks to see them rise in the standings but I do love to see wins and goals.

Suzuki hitting 30 for me is something special. I have long awaited players of that calibre for the team. I can't wait to see a full season of him, slaf and cole alongside returned players and new additions next year.

Suzuki looking good. Imagine if the Habs had a real second line, so the opposition could not focus on his line? That would be a huge advantage in home games with last line change.

The Slaf train keeps rolling. Dude is a beast, looks like he is having a lot of fun out there too.

Also, where all the people that wanted to trade the pick, then the player, for Alexis Lafreniere?

This is still a very young team and growing up can sometimes look ugly. Yes there are mistakes and so on but what I’m seeing is something that has not been seen in Mtl in a long time. From where I sit they look like a Team! There is leadership at all levels, everyone is taking a step forward….together. Nice to see! There are and will be challenges… but they keep growing and moving forward. Finally, I’m tired of hearing about goalies saving our games, it’s what they are paid to do. It’s like people clapping when a pilot lands a plane…..were you expecting to crash!

From the bench.... sounds like a game or two.

I did not catch most of the game last night, was busy, so need to see what this is all about.

Cannot seem to find it.

oh, because it didn't happen on the ice it automatically becomes a suspension..? Guhle doesn't have any history either, so I was thinking it might not amount to much.

Just saying it will likely be treated harsher than if it happened with both players on the ice, in a play, than from the bench.

I have not seen the video, just heard about it, so cannot judge.

Regardless, dumb move on his part.

Yeah, hard to see details of what happened, or how severe.

Dumb move, regardless.

yeah...I'm not looking at the top 5 anyway this year. I'm just hoping an interesting forward will drop in the 6th-7th-8th range

does Craig Button still have a lot of credibility with these draft lists? I don't really follow those but I thought he was now among the least respected ones lol

Team tank will be disappointed with this third win in a row, but fans should keep in mind that these are professional athletes, beat to compete and not to lose. Besides, before a team becomes a contender, it needs to learn to win. Given the team performance though, they still have a lot to learn about winning, especially when we see the all too habitual scenario in Montreal of a netminder stealing a game…

I don't think these last 10 games are as meaningful as what's being thrown around in media.

Anyway, Ducks, Sharks and Hawks are taking this tanking thing to another level, Habs are out of that picture.

Lots of interesting defence prospects (4-5 in top 10, 7 of the top 15), wonder if HuGo trades down (depending on where the end up picking) to get a forward he might want with a team that is desperate to pick one of those D-men.

Otherwise, if the BPA is a defenceman, do they take him?

meaning, for the draft, or in terms of the habs' mindset moving forward? because I'd much rather see a team giving this kind of effort than losing every night... it bodes well for upcoming seasons imho.

I mean, picking a few slots lower would be nice, but there is a greater chance they drop in the first round than actually move up.

So overall, 5-6-7, whatever.

Just saying, if there is not a good deal on the table when they pick, and the BPA (on their list) is a defenceman, do they pick the BPA?

yes, I understood that lol... that's why I said "draft and trade", instead of drafting a potentially less-valuable forward they go for the BPA dman and adjust accordingly with a trade

Of course, I don't question the compete level. I just think there is too much stock put into this transitioning well into next season. Lately we also see goalies standing on their heads to make the Habs pull through. Something I'm just so tired of seeing.

can't wait to see what Hughes has up his sleeve, could be making very interesting moves at the draft.
