Last 2 games have been rough for Kreider. He was due for his yearly low streak. Better to get it out of the way now before the playoffs start

He was better yesterday. Still not good. The Jets game was one of his worst as Ranger. Figures. Kreider going good all year. Zibanejad slowly starting to turn his worm. Kreider now plays like poop.

I will say in the 3rd period he tried to clear the zone with his foot and it look like there was a little hitch in his giddy up.

Maybe the 6 games in 9 days is catching up to him some? He is getting older

You ain't wrong. And you're the Kreider fan club captain. I defer to you. But they have to know know he's not playing well if you and I are noticing it.

Like I said in the previous blog - I read Kreider only had one even strength shift in the final 11:01 of the second period, and none in the last 7:36. So clearly Lavy notices it too and made the adjustments he needed to make.

Not knocking him, just surprised because until now he's been very good. I also think he might be little banged up. Just doesn't look as explosive/quick.

Am I remembering wrong or did he not fall pretty hard into the boards a few games ago?

Great blog Jan!

I didn't realize that the Kreider-Zibanejad-Jack Roslovic line allowed zero shots and zero scoring chances. That is IMPRESSIVE considering they're playing against the Bruins top guys. I wonder if Kreider could use a little rest going into the playoffs. May be the reason he is getting less ice time because lets face it he only doesnt play if he physically cant. Just seems to be something small thats nagging him

I saw someone mention the road blues last night. I wish the NHL reverted back to home whites. As a kid, I used to love seeing the different colored jerseys coming into MSG. Having them always in white is boring

Yeah, I think he had a maintenance day from practice, no?
Also, I think it may have been a combination of Lavy wanting to sit Kreids while simultaneously wanting to get Bread more ice time.

Being the Rangers are one point behind the B's for #1 in the east...it's really silly if you ask me. Bruins have played one more game and have 5 fewer wins.

B's have 30 losses overall. Loser points are so fvcking stupid.

I don’t disagree but at the same time, what does a loss 3v3 or in a shootout even really mean for a team? Like, it’s not relevant to the rest of the game

What does losing in 3v3 OT or in the shootout mean? LOSER POINTS! A reward for losing a game. We going to provide participation trophies to all teams next?

Cool bro not sure how we got here but I was saying that as long as there’s 3v3 OT followed by a shootout a win or a loss in either only signifies that one team was better at 3v3 or a shootout so it’s a weird thing to measure

it's all good. I'm not upset towards you...i just don't like the standing point system. It's very misleading.

BTW - I miss your PR avatar. You need to go back to it.
