Thanks NYN…wife and I are on a golf vacation in Palm Springs, beautiful day here yesterday. We watched the game at some friends from Victoria who winter here.

Buffalo didn’t look great but the Canucks played a decent game. Miller is a beast, it seems as though him and Hughes are the catalyst’s of the team, as they go, the team goes. Hughes is an amazing young player.

Pettersson was very opportunistic, he didn’t stand out but was in the right place at the right time. A three point night, Vantel will be disappointed.

@patersonjeff

update: if #Canucks  simply manage to play .500 over final 13 games, they'll finish with 107 points. Oilers would need to go 10-5-1 to get to 107. Nux have sizeable edge in regulation/overtime wins & won season series

Great game last night, they really need Dakota back, plus clean up a few more of their mental mistakes.

Buffalo didn't look great because they are a .500 club. They are not a good team. Canucks are one of the best teams in the league heading into the playoffs. The Canucks should have more than just a "decent" game against a team like that at this stage of the season.

A good game against a sub .500w% team. Engaged & energetic all night. No time left for losing their identity when it’s time to hone all the details leading up to the PO’s.

Thanks Duke of York. Any word on if the Oilers passed us in the standings yet?

Nice to see the D physically engaged last night. They'll need that mentality going forward.

That Myers hit was one of the best I've seen all season. Devastating yet clean.

You know it's a great hit when the player has the "did I close the garage door when I left?" look on his face on the way down.

lol nice. I see Hughes got his first hit of the year too? Very good to see engaged D finally at this point but that photo reminds of how VHG posted the Garland punch in the face while Horvat stood there and watched...

Good times lol

Off topic after yesterday I really question fighting in hockey. It seems like a lot of the enforcers are checking out early. There have been more than one or two only to die young that played the role of the enforcer.

Cam Cole dug into SN last night who were promoting the Reeves fight. He asked if their timing about endearing the fight may have been a little fucked up highlighting it as the lead story on the day an enforcer dies young. Good on him.

If garly can stay with petey and Joshua can play with Lindy and say mik or suter and get any offense out of lindy team will be tough to beat

Very tough topic nowadays. To me fighting is still needed in the game but not staged events. When two players are playing hard and want to settle differences that way I say all good. Plus if someone is taking liberties with star players and they need to be taught a lesson all good. But there is a fine line now as it's a pretty polarizing topic.

That has a lot to do with very poor officiating.

I think when teams hire idiots like Reaves and that idiot from NYR the league needs to be harsh with the penalties. You need to get that type of player out of the game.
I am not suggesting get rid of fighting, I am suggesting get rid of enforcers. Escalating unpaid suspensions.

Thanks Yorkie! Hoping for a strong push to the playoffs, they kicked ass last night and Levi is the only reason they were around in the 3rd

Being in the right place at the right time and opportunistic are traits often used to describe great players.
