Jones has been very surprising lately considering that he hasnt been all that reliable in other games. - aecliptic
He’s been very good with puck. A few times he was taking it to the net.
Miller too has been muuuuch better lately helping offensively. You can deal with his deficiencies as long as he’s doing that more often |

The most surprising of the bunch has been Schneider. Hes been solid but his play at the net as been a surprise. Pinching in and getting some good shots on net. |

He’s going to be a top pairing dman someday, really like his game. I think we’ll see him become more and more physical also as his career goes on. Same with Miller. I’d leave the 2 of them together and let them develop together like Staal and Girardi did, that’s the top pair of the future in NY. |

From yesterday, regarding Lindgren:
The only piece that makes me mildly hopeful is that the leg didn't get completely pinned behind him and locked. it moved as a little forward - airjan23
I just watched the game last night and didn't rewatch the injury, but I think the damage was done before he even fell.
Seen it before where that backwards slam into the boards with the leg fully extended can pop the ACL. Certainly hope I'm wrong! |

Hard not to feel more confident in this groups chances. Still too early to say, but looks like Drury made the right moves at the deadline. Wennberg and Kakko seem like a perfect match as they play defense first but can chip in when they get a chance. Also no coincidence that Mika has his first 2 5v5 goals in 2024 in the few games he’s been paired with Roslovic. Roslovic speed through the neutral zone and into the offensive zone gets the D on their heels and creates space for Mika and Kreider. Pair that with Shesty looking like his Vezina form, and Miller/Schneider helping each other out of slumps and this team could be scary. Hopefully Lindgren is back soon, but mostly concerned with the impact on Fox. |

Hopefully we can get off the bash Zib train now. It’s been obvious all season what “his problem” has been.
Drury just needs to re-sign him now and not keep going through this every year (hunting for a RW) |

Lindy is a big loss for sure but I am also sure Gus can play the Lindgren role so that Fox is not affected. |

Definitely. To me, Mika is a finisher and not much of a distributor. Same with Kreider. He has burning speed, but doesn’t have the same vision as Roslovic coming into the o-zone. Mika was tying to do too much on his own previously. Roslovic is the straw that stirs the drink making that whole line so much more dangerous. |

Probably has to be Gus, huh? Both will have to play a little more conservatively.
Was funny watching the TNT broadcast. Yandle compared it to when Klein was injured and him and Dan Boyle got paired together. Said they both looked at each other like “who’s going to play defense” lol. |

was at the game and thought Kakko should have gotten Miller's star. Kakko was the "Kakko" we all dream for. He played as aggressive as I have ever seen. He was so noticeable. |

Im thinking
Gus- Fox
Miller - Schneider
Jones- Rud$53^4
Gus is more physical than you would think- he lays the wood sometimes and when troubla is back (assuming no lindy)
Gus- Fox
Miller - Schneider
Jones- Trouba |

Good bounce back weekend for them after a stinker in Tampa. Canes jsut refuse to lose. Hope the injury to Lindgren isn't as bad as it looked. Chad Ruhwedel time.
I guess if Lindgren is out, Laviolette could go:
6-23
79-4
56-Ruhwedel(5) |

Yandle was quite candid yesterday. Called himself a "soft" skill defensemen and hated playing against guys like Rempe. Said it really messed with his game as he was always looking over his shoulder.

So what’s the magic # for us to clinch the playoffs? And can this team break the single season points record? This team looks as formidable as I can ever remember. Just gotta hope Lindy will be ok. |

He was like that when Spittin Chiclets interviewed him after he retired. He did a good job yesterday on that show. |

Not sure, but I did a little math before the weekend. We were 15 points up from the team chasing the 2nd wildcard with 30 possible points left. We were on pace for 113 points at that time. So, all this to say, I don't know but we're getting close!!! |

Those guys just know how to win. Regardless of the regular season, come playoff time they won’t be an easy out for anyone.
I miss the days of the 1v8, 2v7 ect. playoff bracket. What good has the wild card done? There’s enough rivalry across the whole eastern conference that it really doesn’t matter. Top 8 teams should get in. |

NHL needs to go back to that. Let the hate of playoff series marinate naturally.
edit: because 1-8 would result in (as of now.):
BOS vs DET, NYR vs PHI, FLA vs TBL, CAR vs TOR. Woud I love those matchups? Yes I would. |
