If the Penguins earn the 10th pick in the draft, do you -
1) Keep the pick and use it to get a good prospect
2) Give it to San Jose because there's no promises next year will be better - SuperHenderson13
Keep it. It seems as though Dubas recognized the flaws with the roster construction of the team this year, hopefully they are addressed in the offseason.

Not sure gold draft works. How hard are your players gonna play if they know the higher the draft pick the more likely that player makes the team as an 18 year old and takes one of their jobs away?

I actually like Madden, I enjoy listening to him... but he was so off base with that idea to sign Trocheck over Malkin. And then to continue double downing on it even last year when Malkin was playing well was just nuts.

My issue with the “gold draft” is that some teams actually suck and they play younger/less experienced players in hopes of developing and evaluating them.
And how the hell is that fair that talented teams like NJD or TBL would get a franchise player when a team like SJ or Anaheim are trying to dig themselves out by drafting a good player

I take option 2. Guentzel is gone. Crosby, Malkin, Letang, and Karlsson (and throw in Petterson) played in every game. Jarry stayed healthy and had a nice bounce back year. Too many reasons next year could be worse IMO.
We'll see where the pick lands before making that choice, but #10 I 100% send to San Jose.
