I agree with most everything you said ! Ken Holland is past his time in the NHL . I won’t be shocked if takes or is given an extension though . The Nurse contract is a cap killer . Two playoffs left for the dynamic duo, can’t see how you pay both Draisaitl and McDavid after their current contracts are completed. 8 wasted years of McDavid. So I agree he did just ok at this deadline but this is when you go all in grab Parayko Vetrano a real backup goaltender !

I suppose saying Holland is a disaster is over the top but imo he has been horrible.

Too many boneheaded moves with a couple good to great to keep the pitchforks from skewering him outright.

Campbell and Brown are unbelievably bad. Drafting atrocious and as sad as it is getting Henrique is one of his best trade deadline acquisitions. Green and AA was omfg bad.

Vegas is going all in and that is commendable. But let's be honest here, they're going to have a really bad rebuild. If that ownership group is open to that option then by all means. Not all ownership groups are. That gives Vegas front office a lot of leverage on assuming long-term risk.
On Holland, he was horrific the last half decade in Detroit. He's been better than I expected. But he hasn't been a very good general manager in many years. Arguably never in the cap era.

i have always had a soft spot for the Oilers, but man, did i hate their ownership group for hiring Holland. I thought after Chiarelli they could do no worse, but they exceeded expectations.

That being said, not everything he has done has turned to lead, but he definitely has a losing record for signings and trades overall. Guy would give me nightmares if he ended up GM of the Habs and they have had some doozies.

Hopefully Oil can make it out of the west to get a cup home north.

Drai was really great last game.
McDavid was one of the worst on the ice actually.

Flames have been circling the drain since 2004 most Flames fans are just too stupid to figure it out. It requires some math too. Very tough when KY and some Lube get in the way. Maybe DEDDIE could lube up KY a little?
