I voted B/B+. It wouldve been a disaster without roslovic. I like the pick up for he gives us options and more importantly depth down the middle. He’s versatile and along with Wennberg and JBrod they should be able to get by at center with any injuries to Trocheck or Zib

Hopefully the speed of roslovic helps Zib and Kreider because that is what they needed imo. Maybe a shooter too but you can’t get everything, but someone who can skate with them should make a world of difference for the line

Feeling much better today then I did back in December/January when times got tough

I'd agree with B. No major assets lost and got a few pieces that can help. We'll see how it all goes but the future wasn't mortgaged which is nice.

Concerned about Trouba being out 2-3 weeks. Takes us until Apr 1 if it's the latter timeline, and you never know if something will linger with playoffs only a few weeks after that

Good summary Jan, Only thing I will slightly disagree with is, Kreider has never really driven play, ever. He doesn't have the puck handling skills for it. I mean he will get the occasional breakaway and kill an icing, but he wont be carrying the puck up through traffic. Kreider is actually having a really good season despite being stuck with Zib

I don’t understand you. You mentioned roslovic about a dozen times how you wanted the guy. We get him and get a 3C and a depth D

I’m not fighting you I appreciate we get along now..but I think you’re off base, Jmo you may be impossible to please lol he isn’t Houdini

We have no idea if Buch was even available. Jake was probably hardballing by Dubas and we most likely regret that decision getting him

Roslovic was definitely a pain in the ass those two recent irritating games vs Columbus

The west is going to be like the old days of the wild Wild West and instead of guns it’s hockey sticks. Thankfully the East didn’t go too crazy. I’ll give Brukie some credit (as difficult as that is grrrr lol) that maybe the canes did too much? They did a lot where it could bite them in the ass

I cant believe the Islanders didn't do anything, they are so clearly the 3rd best team in this division

Anyone agree Vancouver were the biggest losers? They got one upped by everyone because they shot their load early and the guy they got isn’t working out

What I got from Jackets fans is hes decent defensively and offensively, but makes a lot of boneheaded mistakes. A giveth and taketh away kind of player. Sort of like Trocheck can be.

Still time for him to turn it around in VAN. Build some chemistry etc. One of the reasons I liked the Tarasenko addition last year was bc it was early.

Devils traded for Sharks G Kahkonen. If he's in net against the Rangers and Kakko gets a scoring chance Sam's going to swallow his tongue trying to make the call.

I just think they all (Vegas, Edmonton, Avs, etc) all did better. I can’t remember an arms race like that between so many teams

Roslovic as the depth move would have been fine. Wennberg as the depth move was/is fine. But you and I share the common goal. We both wanted more. Roslovic as "the" move ain't it. He's fine. He's an NHL player. But you know and I know that what they really missed some elite skill at the RW spot. I don't think Roslovic has the type of game with in him

I get it I just don’t think anything there for us. I think patches would’ve been bad, I feel like Roslovic could be a late bloomer type. He was a first rder. Maybe like Tolvanen break out potential in the rangers

Our biggest problem is we only had one 2nd round pick to trade, as over the last couple years we've kind of been burning the wick at both ends trying to wheel and deal. Our draft capital was either 1st round picks or relatively high end prospects. I personally think Drury got punked, sitting at the poker table scared to play his hand. Afraid so much that he would trade one of these kids and they turn into a star that he chose not to gamble.

Personally, after seeing what the Avs did, I would have considered a trade of a similar ilk. I would have made a trade with the Predators for Carrier 50% retained, maybe for Sykora, I dont know. Then subsequently made a trade/offer with the Blues for Buchnevich 50% retained for a 2025 1st round pick and Schneider.

We may all not be happy but this is the team. At least they are deeper. And just pray Zib figures it out
