That is the NHL for yah. Bruins are hard to figure out right now. geez.
All the playoff teams are good and can get on a heater. So much parity that good one day and poopty the next. Get into the playoffs and see what happens. Am I confident no. Was I confident in 2023, yes very much so and got bounced.

Was I confident in 2011 or 2019. No not really but it came together.

My gut is all the pending UFA’s stay and there isn’t some massive hockey deal with Debrusk and Ullmark. Don will probably add some depth on the cheap.

Definitely liking the combo of Frederic and Geekie playing together right now.

I feel like they need to stick with the lines that they had last night. Also feel like JVRS shelf life is expiring. At one point it looked like he was kind of just skating around when the play just went right past him.

JVR was always going to be a diminishing return. Doesn't have the legs for a full season anymore but he has done well for what Sweeney paid.

I like Geekie's game. Very underrated shot too. I agree, keep him and Frederic together. They are one of a couple of pairs who actually look like they have developed some chemistry

Geekie, younger, is giving you the same production as Debrusk for half the money. Trade Debrusk for a pick or some D.

JVR has been fine, especially in his limited roll. Maybe get him some nights off, but he's not an issue on this roster.

I wonder if the Kings would move Pierre Luc Dubois for Ullmark. Try to move him before his no-trade kicks in. He's playing third line on the Kings right now. It would be very risky as PLD seems to wear out his welcome so he's definitely not the most reliable BUT he was definitely effective as a top line center with the Jets.

Slide him in with Marchand and Debrusk. Coyle moves down to solidfy the third line with Geekie and Trent.

I also think his playstyle fits the Bruins more than the Kings.

I thought about that too, Dubois for Ullmark. Definitely has the tools to be a 1C. Heavy contract and lots of term. That’s a little scary as he appears to be a diva. Good player tho when he wants to be!
Too risky I would pass.

PLD is a fundamentally lazy player. He is 3rd line for the kings for a reason. Because he hasn't earned anything more. Don't expect him to earn first line minutes if he comes to Boston.

Sweeney can utilize a. Ullmark trade much better in the off season and sign a center. Spend that 8.5 mil on someone else.

Carlo falling on his ass on the tying goal. FFS.

And again on that last play with 10 seconds to go.

Can someone give him skating lessons please...

Not so sure - would have to see it again.

But man the Bruins SUK in OT. 15 losses now?
(along with another blown lead...)

Molson 3 stars in a 2-1 OT game ... all three Oilers. Holy Franking homeroom.

Yeah, Hyman pushing his skate from behind had nothing to do with it...

You 2 are right - replay showed it more obviously.

Brutal missed call on something like that.

But still another blown lead and another loss in OT.

That's just a poop bounce. They aren't built for 3 on 3 unfortunately.

Also, Heinen had an open net with 2 minutes left and tried to score forehand instead of backhand.
Hopkins made a good play to deflect it wide.

Well, it's also the Oilers are made for 3 on 3. They only have 2 OT losses on the season for a reason (and we got one of them on their ice).

The Oilers 3 on 3 is ridiculous. Not many teams if any can match that.

Credit where it's due. RNH's back check was perfect.
