They’re not going to be top notch every game throughout the season. At least they get the points when not at their best. Plus they were missing Tkachuk and Stenlund from the lineup Saturday night vs the caps.

How about Gustav Forsling! Guy skates like the wind, gets back to break up a three on one (with help coming from Bennett) and then flies down the ice to get in position for the one timer gwg. He is under the radar their best defenseman.

It wasn't just the one game, but the one against the Hurricanes was also quite boring. Baseball was having the same problem when pitchers would pitch a shutout or pitch a no-hitter. The crowd would get antsy and wanted more hitting, and men on bases. Only if you were a purist did you enjoy the game. Boredom does not sell as entertainment.
What I would like to address though is the interview recently with Bill Zito. He said it a team sport and he would like it if it was a perfect world, but he led one to believe that after this season players may want to seek greener pastures. He led one to believe that he may make an offer to Reinhart, but he has only so much cash to pass out. I think if Reinhart doesn't accept his offer, he will let him walk. The sum of the whole is more important than the part of the whole.

In my last post, what I mean is that Bill Zito with his ingenious mind, can find a gem of a player at TJ MAXX rather than have to go to Madison Avenue to find an Armani Reinhart and have to pay full price.

He’s saying no one gets more than Barkov
“Greener pastures” is an interesting phrase to use, as being on a team competing for Cups with an organization that is becoming top notch (new training facilities, etc), all while enjoying life in S FL is going to be in his negotiating spiel.

“Chicks dig the long ball.” The game against Carolina was 2 teams really good at limiting chances against, and 2 goalies snuffing out any chances that there were. I get what you are saying, but there was nothing boring about that game. But I may be a “purist” as you describe LoL.

Sabres 4 - 2 .... Dylan Cozens lays Sam Reinhardt out with a center ice hit. Tuch fends off Tkachuk in the ensuing melae while Clifton takes it on the chin from Lomberg.

Benson pots 2 while Krebs gets the empty netter.

Now back to real news:
- Sabres get pounded 6 - 1 ...

Wow, if you thought that game was exciting, I'll send you some cross stitches you can work on while watching the game. As Toby Keith said A little less talk and a lot more action.

Panthers lost Forsling and Tkachuk in the first period, it was a pretty intense game even without end to end rushes being traded.

Watching the last two Panthers games was like watching three hours of Oppenheimer without being allowed a bathroom break.

Going to be a tough game for Detroit today. This will be a real test to see how the Wings match up against an elite teaam. Panthers' defense is about as good as you can get and they play a heavy game. Should be fun to watch. Only way the Wings win is if they can use their speed to take away Florida's time and space. Lyon will have to be really good to give them a chance. I'll be happy if the Wings can play as well as last time these two teams met (Wings won in OT).
