Thanks a lot for the blog! It's very much appreciated.

I think it has to be Brown that comes out, he's just not getting it done on the offensive side of things. I like his grind, he seems to put forth a lot of effort, but there's a large enough sample size now that the offense is just not going to come. He seems to be playing like he knows his days are numbered too...like the wide open cage he missed and shot it into the goalie's armpit and might have actually missed the entire net! I don't know if he's nervous or just terrible, but at this point who cares. A grizzled vet for the playoffs or the spark of a young rook would look so much better in his stall. It has to be Brown.

I get the argument for Brown, however for me it's Janmark that should be the first guy out. He's just not getting anything done anymore at any strength to warrant staying in the lineup.

Conner Brown wishes he was as good and productive as Janmark...

Brown experiment being flushed is the only thing that makes sense IMO.

Its funny. IMO Janmark took a pay cut to stay with a contending team. While Brown gouged us and cant even put up league minimum numbers.

Brown, perfectly healthy and younger, is obviously marginally better than Janmark but I dont know how anyone with a straight face can say right now that Janmark needs to come out over Brown.

I pretty much agree with all of the comments so far. Brown hustles his butt off and he really looks to be trying hard, he just seems to have an extremely poor skillset or nerves, or likely both. Janmark is a much better player but just seems "off", a bit slower, a bit sloppier than the rest. It's a hard choice, but I guess I'm biased for the same reason, Brown was so hyped up, took big money, and he's the worst player on the team. Don't let the door smack your a55 on the way out bud.

The most impressive part of this 14 game win streak is how the Oilers just shut down the opposing team in the third period. I haven't been this confident in our team making a serious run in the playoffs in a lot of years.

Same but they can’t keep playing from behind. They’ve played a lot of bad teams in this stretch, but the good teams that will be in the playoffs won’t let them back into games so easily.

In other news, thank McJesus we didn’t go after Carter Hart like was rumoured or we would be royally (frank)ed right now headed towards the playoffs. He’s gonna be tied up in court for a while and we wouldn’t have any assets left to make moves with.
