Needing vets while drafting & developing so not a big deal for 2yrs. He’s not worth it but it doesn’t matter the price tag. Not your normal situation where cap is as important like it is for many teams.

Look at the Canucks with all the 3rd line wingers making around 5 million per.

The 1st is a late pick but I hearya.
Imo any significant get will need the 1st in the deal. Anything less & it’s either a steal or lesser swing for short term. I can envision the latter but chose the former looking long term.

If you are giving up the first round pick it should be for a top six player not a bottom six guy. I obviously don't value Pinto as a top six.

I really don't see too many holes these days so I would add some bottom six toughness. Replace Aman.

I don't think you can keep Kuzmenko's contract going into the next year find a replacement.
