If you're looking for them to continue a trend, they'll win tonight. They won three in a row before losing twice twice before the current two game streak.

A Stanley Cup contending team doesn't get pinned in their own end (multiple times per game) for upwards of two minutes when playing even strength.
They just don't.
Against Arizona (a win) and against the Senators (a win). And against Chicago and Flyers (both losses). All games featured brutal stretches where even getting the puck out of the defensive zone for a few seconds would have been helpful.

When you're cheering for the puck to just get out of your zone, it says a lot about how much you're willing to deceive yourself that this team could go places in the playoffs. We are NOT a playoff team.

Count the number of times the puck leaves the zone and then gets passed back to our defensemen-- still in our zone. Who came up with that asinine strategy?
The same person who continues to tell the player at the half boards to face backwards when the puck gets passed to them, so they can be taken off the puck immediately? Whatever happened to "two passes and out?"

The 2 positive trends being wins were against lackluster teams. Real challenge will be starting with Vegas. Cant see Flames winning but then again, Vegas is struggling right now. We shall see... positive thoughts.

I wonder if we could extend the "DADS" visit a little longer.

This team is finally playing decent hockey, propped up by the amazing play of Markstrom. As a fan I am happy to finally see them play for each other.

But them playing good hockey is the worst-case scenario for this (frank)ing team. They are too bad to make any noise, and too good to bottom out.

After all these years we are still being haunted by the ghost of 2004......It was in
