But for the sake of saying random stuff, ill predict that Kyle Dubas trades Rickard Rakell for peanuts and signs Kane.

Kane wants to go to a team that has a chance to contend for a Cup. So the Wild are one of the favorites. A deep in decline superstar who is a huge defensive liability on a team that can’t defend.

If I am Kane, I go to Carolina assuming all else is equal.

The west will almost certainly go through either Vegas (who can't afford him) or Dallas (who LIKELY can't afford him) while the east is much more open. Canes could use more firepower and have the cap room to do it. Maybe the Bruins or Rangers are scary team in the playoffs, but is anyone else really that dominant?

They have a strong chance of at least getting back to the conference finals and some of their younger, skilled forwards would only improve with him on the team...

Boston was dominant last year. Florida sneaked into the postseason. Just get in with a healthy lineup and a capable goalie, then anything can happen and often does.

Source: Patrick Kane Knows Where He Will Play I talked to one of Kane’s good friends out in California and when talking about Kane he said, “He will play for a contender. He already knows the team too.”

Can't you leverage this source? Just give the guy/gal a call and find out who the team is - scoop the whole world!

"Patrick Kane is getting healthy teams are beginning to make plans ..."

What horrifically sheet-tay writing.

Oh no. Lawyers, guns and money. The source has an NDA with Friedman. Friedman can’t say until Kane says so.

Kane is not returning to the HawKs until he is ready to call it a career! Leafs not only don't have enough cap space, and there goaltending and and defense is suspect at best., THe Avs, sound interesting as well as the Bruins. Wild are not even a playoff team as yet

one more year from Jagr would be better than Kane at this point

at this point the risks out weigh the rewards...

coming back off that surgery will could be a huge problem
as noted defensive liability
not the dynamic scorer he was

maybe a two year contract for 2mil per with incentives

wings and reuniting with ADB?

I would like the hawks to bring back Kane but Bedard is already putting the Calder in his trophy case it looks like, plus the hawks still need to lose more to add future support for Bedard

I was thinking more about Kane today. He wants to stay in the East and play for a contender. So you can make a decent list just by process of elimination.

No Columbus, Philly, Montreal, Ottawa, Buffalo - not contenders.

Detroit, Washington, Pittsburgh, NYI - not really contenders, so longshots.

No NYR since they already said no interest bringing him back.

That leaves Florida, Toronto, Tampa, Boston, Carolina, NJ. Ek mentioned each of these. I think he's right on this one!

Before the 2021-22 season, Ek wrote a blog about how Mangiapane was going to have a big bump up in goals. Ek said he would get around 35 goals. Mangiapane got 35 goals that season. He’s on a roll.

Don't believe that Chicago add on at the end- it would have broken in a Chicago media if that was even remotely the case imo.

Good thing EK is favoring the Bruins.

Now we don't have to worry about getting him.

Kane needs to prove he is healthy and can still play. If he’s smart he goes to the Leafs for League minimum, piles up the points by playing with elite forwards, and cashes in next summer with another team for his last contract.

Barkov got hurt for FL last night. If he goes on LTIR, the Panthers will be all over Kane and have the money to do it.

Best American born hockey player? Please. Best at receiving lob passes from defensemen I can agree with. Very good sniper and at finishing breakaways, yep. He wasn’t even the best player on his team for most of his career.
