Ryan Novozinsky got an interview with Fitz and had some updates on the injuries:

-Nosek and Miller may be the closest to returning, but believes they're still a couple of weeks away.

-Says that Nicos return is essentially up to Nico himself. "With Nico, you know what, he's on his timeframe. We're just going to let him go about his business and when he's ready, he'll tell us." This to me confirms Nico has a concussion imo, and it just all depends on how he feels/when the symptoms go away.

-On Jack, he just continued the sentiment that they're very lucky with how it turned out, because the outcome could've been worse. Also mentioned how Jack is in a good mindspace.

Why make a bad move just to make a move? I’m not sure if VV or Schmid are the answer, but I’m more certain Campbell is not.

We have Dougie long term. Luke should be long term. Seigs and Marino should be longterm. We had the Russian, Walsh, Casey and other surprises nearing the jump.. and we draft a dman over a top line center… knowing we have 2 injury prone centers on the top 2 lines. Make it make sense.

Come on Holtz… do somethin. 6th overall with Quin, Rossi, Perfetti, Lundell, Jarvis.. all looking better so far. I keep forgetting we took Nemec 2nd. You better be Cal Makar to be going 2nd overall.

So how bad was it. Was the game closer than the score says?

It was a bizarre and bad game. 2nd period was all penalties. Colorado took a ..7min manor for cross check in the face? Half of our PP time, Colorado looked better than us lol. I missed the 1st, but periods 2-3 were endless turnovers and odd man rushes given up by jersey. MacKinnon, Rantanen and Makar were dominant. They could’ve had 3 more goals easily. I think they hit 2 posts. We were bad, despite trying our hardest to create offense. Lots of dancing and passing and not enough shooting. Dougie was letting it go from the point but that was about it.

2-2 road trip without Nico for all 4 and Jack for essentially 3. I'll take it. Would've preferred 5 points(should've atleast got a point against the Blues imo) but 4 is fine. Could've been worse that's for sure.

Game was very winnable last night, but clearly ran out of gas in the 3rd. Didn't play well, without our top 2 Cs, and were in a 3-3 game going into the 3rd against one of the best teams in the league in a prime bounce back game after getting smoked in their last game. We win that game if we have Jack and/or Nico.

Gonna keep saying it, we really gotta stop with the Palat in the top 6 nonsense. He kills so many possessions in the offensive zone when the puck touches his stick. I'll literally take anybody in that spot over him at this point.

and Palat's cap hit is 1.75M more than Toffoli. That deal was crazy at the time. Like a Brian Rolston 2.0 deal. Substantial money for an aging winger, except Palat doesn't even have a shot like Rolston did.

If the rumors are true of the Flames having all of Hanifin, Tanev, and Zadorov available for trade, I'd hope Fitz is calling on them and seeing what it'd cost. I wouldnt mind any one of those 3.

We all know he's keeping an eye on the goalie market, but another stable D is needed as well.

Agree. Honestly another 2 if they’re gonna bring Nemec along slowly. But either way another solid dman would be great. Wouldn’t mind getting someone who can play with an edge and clear space for our young talent, and actually play solid defense. But, either way any of those 3 would be an upgrade.

Not sure what they’re gonna do about the goalies. Guess we’ll see come deadline.

The question is the cost, what would a realistic trade look like?
