It will be interesting to see once the team puts more regulars together vs other teams

And as for tonight hoping to see holtz keep up and build and have a good start to the season

Some good, some bad. Was one of the most involved players offensively(led or tied for the team lead in shot attempts, shots, chances, and high danger chances). Big difference I'm noticing so far this year is he's actually moving his feet in the offensive zone to find space/get open. It's been said all camp but his skating is certainly improved, and it's showing. Had some bad turnovers and poor defensive play, but I feel like the same could be said for everybody.

I think the big standout so far is Thompson, and he's making a case he should be on the team. If Bastian starts on IR, it could open the door for him to get a roster spot, to atleast start the season. Tough decision for Fitz is coming though, because unless Holtz is sent down(which i don't see happening), one of Thompson/Foote/Lazar will need to be put on waivers once Bastian is good to go.

If it comes to one of those 3, then I’m dropping Lazar. The other 2 are kids and have more upside. Wish this McLeod investigation was complete so we could know if we could just cut him and be fine. Obviously wish there was never anything to investigate in the first place.

Agreed. Lazar is probably the most likely to clear as well, as he's the most expensive and has another year

I wonder if the last preseason game they will have all 4 lines playing

Talking about 4 lines

Wonder who will be on the 4th line to start the season

I would imagine so, maybe one last look for the guys who are on the cusp. If I had to guess, I'd say the 2nd line we're rolling out tonight is the 4th line on opening night(depending on Bastians health, seems like he's good to go though). With two of Lazar/Foote/Thompson as the extras.

Outside of that 4LW spot, the entire roster seems locked in. Wouldn't be surprised if that spot is just a rotation to start the year too.
