Poor Ty Smith ...

Was this a case of scouts getting him wrong or did he really have potential and somehow (frank)ed it up?

Didn't see the game but the shot total seems lopsided. Did we sit back once we got the lead or did the Rags truly take it to us?

We significantly outplayed them in the first with Igor putting on a clinic on how to stop everything. The actual goal was on a dribbler that just found its way in. Pretty lopsided for New Jersey IMO.

Lavy must have threatened to take everyone to his barber as the Rangers came out hot and controlled the 2nd by a large margin. The third seemed a bit less dominated by New York, but they were still the better team. I don't think we sat back, but clearly we stopped controlling the run of play.

Not to dismiss the Rangers effort but it'll be interesting to see these teams with full NHL rosters. We basically ran one top line in Hughes, Bratt, Toffoli and an irregular 4th line with McLeod, Lazar and Nosek. Not that the Rags had all their regulars either. Just saying it was a preseason lineup.

Appreciate the response Queenie. Couldn't get the game down here in SC. 13 more days until these games actually mean something. Hoping we continue our growth and don't crap the bed under the heavy expectations.

It’s too bad we didn’t have this good of a team for 2013 era Schneider. NJ would’ve won a 4th Cup, at least, by now and maybe more.

Lou was making such garbage ass decisions then though. And Conte was the worst to put in charge of drafting. So glad we’re in the Age of Tom!
