Josh Biringer: National Broadcasts and the Devils

Being a fan in Canada, my only choice is to pay for center ice so I can watch the team. I have done this for probably 20 yrs. Ideally I would love to see a team app, pay for that and get all the games with the same crew but that will never happen.

Did you see the recent interview with Bratt where he talks about the therapist he sees about his mental game and how it changed his approach and turned his game to be lethal?

I'm excited to see what Holtz does after spending summer with Bratt and his teaching of the young padawan.

I did, was a good listen! Definitely excited to see how Holtz looks this year. I've seen videos from their skating coach and Holtz looks to be a little quicker/more agile. Hopefully Ruff actually gives him a fair shot/consistent playing time in the top 9 this year.

Some quick tidbits on the roster from Fitzy in an interview with Jimmy Murphy:

-On replacing the vet D we lost: He believes Bahl can give us the strong/hard defensive minutes that Graves gave us and believes Luke can give us the same or better offense than Sevo. Mistakes will happen, but both guys will have a long leash. No mention of Nemec there, seems like he'll be in Utica barring injuries(which is the right decision).

-They believe in Schmid but thought he may need more time. He'll get a chance to run with Vitek at the start of the year and see where it goes.

-Still believes Holtz will be another pillar for this team going forward.

-Talked about drafting. Said his mandate is that he wants guys who have the highest ceilings. "We'll take 10% chance of being a star over 100% chance of being on the 4th line." Makes sense as to why the OHL scout who pushed for Stillman was fired then lol.

Im watching it now. So we know by now Fitz doesnt BS with his words. He always says what he means. He's very honest. For him to say holtz is going to be a pillar of the team, after saying the other pillars are the big 3, he must have some sort of knowledge of holtz growing bigtime. Not sure if they collect analytics of offseason training or how they can determine growth. But this gives me alot of confidence in Holtz actually being a Devil.

With that said, if holtz does become some 40 goal sniper, added to Timo and Tyler. I honestly cant remember aside from the Detroit/Avs teams, another team that has so much quality on the roster. We were deep before Holtz. If he flips the switch, damn these Devils have all the tools to make an historic dynasty.
