I get the lack of respect for Copley, but all he did was come in and save the Kings season. Put Rittich in the minors and roll with Copley and Talbot. We should be able to win plenty of 5-4, 4-3 games.

Terrible roster building. Copley wasn’t good, he was just less bad. His record belied his true mediocre performance. Cal Petersen 2.0.

Compare the term and AAV of Petersen and Copley. Once you do that, how do you reconcile Copley is Petersen 2.0? Nowhere near the same situation. And mediocre is all they need out of Copley. Petersen wasn't mediocre. He was awful. So the comparison just doesn't work at all. Sure, the goaltending isn't a strength, but the rest of the roster is B+/A-. Let's see if they can advance past the 1st round with that.

He probably didn't watch a lot of Kings regular season games. Copley bailed the Kings regular season out! They were done with Quick/Petersen. Copley will be fine backing up Talbot.

I guess. But Copley will be 32 in January. His save % was poor at .903 and saves above expected an unimpressive 4.17.

I'm not saying to give him the Vezina today, but if he plays like he did last season, things should be fine. The team has also upgraded the D corp, so I'm hoping that will help him out too.

2 preseason games down under and not one blog about it... I expect to see nothing from a Yotes blog, but I guess the Kings are right there with them.
