Edmonton is not discussing Karlsson. At all. They have $5.6M to bridge Bouchard and McLeod. Then maybe sign a veteran for league minimum that can be waived. That's it. Nothing else is happening. They are not doing a blockbuster for Karlsson. New Jersey is not asking about Jack Campbell. The summer is over for them.

Karlsson will either be playing in San Jose or Pittsburgh. This is pretty obvious now.
