Less than you may think. Karlsson's contract is huge and for 4 more years. Even if SJ chews $3.5M/year, that's still $8M. Very few contending teams can eat that sort of cap hit for that long. Petry only 2 years left on his contract, and if say ARZ, ANA, CHI would be wiling to take on the contract, I could see Karlsson for 1st in 2024 and Poulin/Pickering, with $4M or so retained...
