Seems more like a piece to PLD, assuming 2 Cs (one of which being Newhook) are going from MTL to WPG...otherwise, doesn't make sense. It would counter the Iafalo + Valiardi + for PLD rumors a bit...pretty sure we'll find out in short order.

yes cause 2nd round pick are always a guarantee

to me, they just gave up two 2nd round pick for a fast talented kid, said to be lazy, but MSL will fix that.

They need a guy to be good in 2 year more than in 4-5...(if ever) from those picks

I like that trade. He's another Dach-like project, with a lot of speed. Could play wing with Monahan at center and learn a lot from the guy.

We'll know who won the trade when we see what C-Mac does with those picks. I'm pretty sure he isn't looking to draft guys at the bottom of round 1 who can help in 3 years.

Giving me vague memories of sending Soderberg to AZ for the picks used to obtain Burakovsky. Only this would be much bigger.

If only we had someone around here tuned into all the GM's and rumors who could tell us what the Avs are up to?
