If he leaves, it screws up the Rielly factor. Get it done, get Accari done as well. We need both of those heavy hitters back into the fold. |

Probably wants 2-3 years at $1.5 to $2M, he's worth it. |

4. Evan Rodrigues
Age: 29
Position: Centre/wing
Evolving Hockey and AFP Analytics contract projections: $4.8 million/4-year deal, $3.7 million cap hit/3-year deal
Does Rodrigues, a Toronto native, want to play at home? That’s the first question here. The Leafs traded for Rodrigues once upon a time — the 2020 salary dump of Kasperi Kapanen — and couldn’t sign him. He rejoined the Penguins instead. Rodrigues averaged almost 18 minutes per game in Colorado last season, producing at a 19-goal, 46-point pace. Question two is whether that earns him a big raise. Two seasons ago, Rodrigues set career highs with 19 goals and 43 points. It took until September for him to get only a one-year deal with a cap hit of $2 million.
If the market isn’t there again for Rodrigues, if he’s still somehow undervalued, maybe it’s the Leafs who can get him for a relative discount and have him take on 3C duties next season. Rodrigues can move up in a pinch if needed, too. He spent a chunk of the playoffs alongside Nathan MacKinnon.
His Regularized Adjusted Plus-Minus (RAPM) chart is kinda nuts.
Rodrigues will be 30 in July. The Leafs are going to want to keep the term tight (two or three years?), but if they can offer Rodrigues, who’s signed four consecutive one-year contracts, some security at a discounted number, maybe there’s an agreement to be had.
A guy we don't talk about on here. Dude is better than ROR but will come cheaper. - Santo_44
Leafs tried to sign him once and he wasn't interested. |

Who? Auston?? Slick Willie Styles???
Nope.
These guys get the sun, the stars, and the moon, no questions asked...but then, Luke? Nickle and dime Luke Schenn right out of town. Literally the only guy on the whole team with any sack. (frank)ing typical.
Yet the "Leaf Nation" still doesn't understand why Shanahan can't build a proper roster with this salary structure... |

I’m surprised Holl never did any Canadian Tire ads. “Tools for a tool” might have really taken off. |

They probably realised the worst player in the league won't help them sell, regardless how good the line is. |
