1 good center away from a play-off spot! If Elvis has a rebound!

Well, assuming you take Carlsson in the draft, there ya go.

The defense is nice. I’d be looking for secondary wing scoring as long as Sillinger is ready to take the next step.

It’s gotten expensive quickly, though. Some big cap hits on that roster now.

I said before, I fear Jarmo is going to chase 31 y.o. Kevin Hayes to be the solution to his #1 center hole !! His career high in points (54) was this past season, and I don't expect him to beat that this season !! And he's not getting any faster. His contract, @ $7.1MM/yr runs through '25-26.
So if Philly retains at least 40% it might be palatable.
Jarmo might be thinking that Hayes would be a transition to Carlsson (#3OA draft pick).
But I still don't like it. There has to be someone better out there.

03,

There isn't anyone better out there than Hayes, unless GMJK thinks Ryan O'Reilly is better at age 32. I don't think you have much to worry about at this point.

He would have a better chance to pick up a good FA goalie than a #1C.

The only chance for a 1C coming here is a trade, and who will he let go to get one?
