Does he play defense or goalie? If not the Sabres should not be interested in him.

I would accept any deal, from any team, that is a 1st plus another pick.

Remember the Sens gave up a 1st, 3rd and 4th for him. So if we get back a 1st and 4th for him, that basically means we rented him for a 3rd rd pick for the year.

Which would be acceptable.

I really think the original deal (along with the Talbot deal and the Giroux signing) at the time was meant to excite the fanbase and/or increase the value of the Sens for the sale. Which it did.

I can't see the Kings in any way, shape or form. They want to spend that money on Gabrikov, the big D they got from CBJ, and a goalie. And they just gave away a first.

Unless they are also planning on brining in Patty Kane on the cheap....

LA can’t be in on Debrinicat. They have Villardi, Gavrikov and Korpisalo to resign.

Buffalo is loaded at offense. Buffalo needs top 4 defensive D (preferably right handed) and a proper goalie to help Levi along.

Sens will get more for him at the tradeline, IMO.

And yes, Kings not happening...

Detroit and Buffalo make sense.

Honest question. Ek has had multiple E4s in 2023 so far, has a single one happened?!?

If I am the Sens I am salivating at the Kings' prospect pool. LA has an embarrassment of riches when it come to young, promising players. As several have pointed out the issue is cap space - you'd need to have a long term deal ironed out or you need the 9M required to qualify Debrincat. Post Gavrikov deal, Kings have 7.8M left over. Probably enough to resign Vilardi and a goalie, but not enough to take on Debrincat without moving out salary, which would require moving one of Arvidsson, Iafallo, or Roy in addition to a prospect or pick. I mean, I'd take Vilardi plus any one of those names mentioned in a heartbeat, but IMO that'd be a fleece. More likely a Kaliyev, though even more likely Ek is just guesstimating.

7th overall, 39th overall in 2022, and 2024 3rd round pick.
Hard to continue reading your write up when you screw up that badly to begin with.

Efff outta here.

DeBrincat is a 2 time 40 goal scorer. Many teams would like to have him. CAR, LAK, DET, PIT, EDM, PHI - how many teams would he not be a great fit with? IMO He doesn't want to play in Canada unless it's big $$

RV (4.25) + Durzi (1.7) + an RFA kings won’t be resigning. That opens up 5.95 in cap this year.

I have no idea what OTT needs, but DB needs to sign under 7M.

Wanted to mention something, did anyone listen to the Panthers announcers in Game 2 after the Tkachuk hit on Eichel? I swear if I did a shot every time they said "legal hit" I would be passed out drunk in 15 minutes. Did the announcers think they had to defend the entire organization from a legal matter? They couldn't talk about any other aspect of the game after that hit. Is this what the NHL has come to? You can't make a perfectly legal check on anyone without having to defend it and explain it? It's pathetic.
I just couldn't get over how many times they had to mention that it was a good check. Like they were forced to do damage control before there was even a question about it.
Relax guys, its playoff hockey and checking is a natural part of the game. Otherwise, go play golf...but checking in golf might help the sport...

I doubt any team would be interested in a 9 million dollar one year rental so that leaves teams he would be willing to sign a contract with and that would think as highly of him as he and his agent seem to.

That was the purpose of that sneaky contract his agent signed him up for in Chicago which is why the Hawks shopped around for a fool of a GM willing to take him off their hands. I bet they couldn't believe they were able to come away with those three picks into the bargain.

I would be happy if the Sens gave him away for nothing which they could do by not agreeing to pay his QO which would make him a UFA and he can go off and get paid.

They need to use that money to get out in front of the Sanderson contract like they did with Stutzle.

They need to lock up Pinto long term before he gets a lot more expensive.

They need a goalie that is reliable but I wouldn't be shooting for the moon and paying a lot because goalies are really unpredictable for the most part.

If anyone has been watching these playoffs I think it should be pretty obvious that in order to be truly competitive you need depth so that's what the Sens need to be adding as well but they don't need to rush and should pick their spots. Especially look for a middle six LW with some size and speed that can mesh with Norris or Stutzle and doesn't cost 9 million dollars!

They can easily be a serious Cup contender in a couple of years but Dorion scares me. I can easily see him overpaying a miniscule second line LW and trading away Chabot and/or Batherson and/or Pinto for a mediocre, over the hill goalie and I'm sure he can figure out even stupider things to do.

Hopefully someone has put a muzzle on him.

I think that's more of a rhetorical question.
