Thoughts on whether Rochette played well enough this year to earn a contract? |

Morning Bill. any idea how Santeri Sulku fared this year in Finland?
what ever happened to Gino Pisellini, flat out awesome name. - hello it's me 2050
Injured and didn't play at all this past season. He was in Sweden with Modo's junior team but was unable to play
No idea about Pisellini's whereabouts these days. |

Caulfield got paid. If he stays on the ice that contract is a small steal. |

Wasn't aware, what type of injury kept him out all year? That sucks.
Get Clayton Norris involved in alumni!!!

Didn't realize that Gags was coaching now. That's good to see.
Roy's rumored to be heading back to the NHL. Hope he takes Gags with him. |

Wasn't there some bad blood between Gagne and the Flyers about how is latest departure/trade was handled or am I misremembering?

Heading into Game Two of the 1995 Eastern Conference Final, getting the Legion of Doom line untracked after being held quiet in the series opener was one of the Philadelphia Flyers' biggest keys to knotting the series against the New Jersey Devils. That objective was met, but the Flyers nevertheless went down to 5-2 loss at the Spectrum to fall behind two games to zero.
Was really depressing those first two games at home. But then the Flyers won on a Lindros goal in OT in game 3 (were 4-0 in OT those playoffs), and won again in NJ in game 4 to knot the series. And back home, they were tied into the last minute of the 3rd period of game 5 until... |

If they hired Gagne would that fall under modern thinking or same old Flyers? |

Yeah, I remember that. But I think they sent an olive branch and honored him since then. Plus time heals all wounds. I bet the relationship is decent at this point.
Plus, I bet he wouldn’t turn down a hypothetical coaching gig.

Lindros and the team made up, so Gagne certainly isn't gonna hold a grudge forever.

The whole thing w/ Homer happened in his second tour with the team, after he had already won the Cup.
I'm sure he isn't holding a grudge, especially now that his former teammates are running the team. |

There was, yes. Actually, his first departure was the more contentious of the two, but the latter wasn't great, either. That was when Gagne told his agent he only wanted to finish his career in Philly. It dragged and dragged. The Flyers ultimately declined to offer him a contract and tried to bring in Daniel Cleary instead.
However, that's long since been resolved. Gagne had a special night at Wells Fargo Center, played in the 50th Anniversary Alumni Game, etc.

Oh screw Holmgren. Gagne openly wanted return and my opinion earned at least a league minimum one year deal and yet Homer went after Dan freakin Clearly instead?? I’m pretty sure Gagne waited most of the summer expecting to come back. |
