" multi platform paid prescriptions."
Are they a pharmacy now?
Do you mean subscriptions?

It is a bit over my head anyway, but still is fascinating.

Yeah, that was either a correctly spelled typo or an auto correct. I changed it to subscriptions. Basically, the same issue we had last year. You had to pay ESPN plus, you had to pay Bally, you had to pay for regular ESPN and TNT as well. So, bounced between streaming and traditional cable. There are people who found their way around this, via VPN. This brings a new interest to the VPN/Tik Tok bill still being debated. VPN was added as the “mouse” has friends in high places. There’’s a lawsuit that contends that former CEO (of about 8 months), current CFO, Current leadership and one former employee tried to intentionally devalue Hulu through international price fixing. At last count, Disney had about 10B in cash or cash equivalent. If all their current debts were called, that’s now 200m. Comcast is forcing the sale of the remaining 1/3 of Hulu in Jan. Disney wants to value all of Hulu at 27billion making their cost 9b. Comcast/Universal value it at 70m, making Disney’s owed price around 23 billion. In an attempt to raise cash, the Star Wars hotel was shuttered, and about 9 or so shows were pulled from Disney plus as write offs. The hotel is “valued” at 150m per quarter and each individual show (originals) cost about 15m per episode to make. That doesn’t mean they get that money back, it just reduces their “taxable income”. It’s a mess. I’ll talk more about this later, but they have indeed let go about 7k people so far when it was supposed to be 3200 with 4K in closed jobs. But the spin machine ignores how different those 2 things are. Pixar fired 75, so that should be swallowed up into the animation department soon (my opinion). The product looks so much alike there’s not point to have both

Yeah, bad “Titanic” joke. The head of the MLB told the judge that the head of Sinclair threatened to bankrupt the value of Diamond sports (Bally) and thereby reduce other revenues for the teams involved. That was a nasty way to end a Friday

In a weird “news type” of update, Buzzfeed has been threatened to be kicked off the stock market with shares under $1. A plan to use AI for articles has been talked about. News room personnel fired (Vice News and MTV News also shut down). A company related to some of these outlets who makes the game “overwatch” (Activision/Blizzard) have been selling Overwatch 2 and upgrades for a while. They just announced that the game doesn’t exist and aren’t issuing refund. Hopefully none of you were burned by this. Expect a lawsuit

THE ATHLETIC: Chris Chelios will not have his contract as an in-studio hockey analyst with ESPN renewed at the end of this season. The move is part of a series of budget cuts by the network.

I see Ottawa may be moving Debrincat. Since he from Farmington Hills, would the Wings consider bringing him "home" by trading for him? Ottawa would probably want back what they sent Chicago, a 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd spread out over three years. Wings have the draft capital to do that.

Cat wants too much money. Maybe if ya get him for 8 x 8, it works. But giving up a 1st,2nd, and a 3rd is now too much. Maybe #17 OA, Fabbri or Kubelik, and a 6th

More to it:

Philadelphia trades Ivan Provorov and Hayden Hodgson to Los Angeles in exchange for Calvin Petersen, Sean Walker, Helge Grans and the Kings’ 2024 second-round pick. Columbus acquires Kevin Connauton from Philadelphia in exchange for a 2023 first-round pick (22nd overall) and conditional second-round pick in either the 2024 or 2025 NHL Draft. Columbus acquires Provorov from Los Angeles in exchange for Connauton.

I’d take that cat for sure. The opportunity to have him in front of Raymond as a couple right wingers is a big one. I don’t want to get where we overspend and have half the budget in 4 players, but if the $ could be worked out, all day. Love that kid. Wouldn’t hate to see what if Kirby Dach would ever be available.

I don't see DeBrincat being less than 8M AVV. Is that something you guys would do?

If I was Dorion I would ask for the 9th overall pick straight up, not sure Yzerman would do that. So my question is, would you guys do the following trade?

DeBrincat FOR Picks 17 (1st) 42 (2nd) 43 (2nd)

I feel like that's not enough for PD and fans (since Sens gave up a 7th overall pick last year). What about Zadina, realistically what do you guys see of him becoming the next 2-3 years? I imagine his trade value is quite low but who knows, all you need is one team to really like him

There's going to be a glut of options in the UFA and trade market, in regards to wingers. Timo Meier, William Nylander, etc. will also be in competition in the market. I'm not sure that DeBrincat gets to the $9M mark. Likely closer to $8M. The cap only going up $1M this year and the troubles with ESPN and Bally will be a revenue problem. Another possible flat cap situation on the horizon.
