Personally, as I’ve written before, I don’t think the Canadiens can afford to take the risk. A top-5 pick in such a deep draft is a hot commodity and it needs to be used in a manner that will definitely speed up the Canadiens’ rebuild, not squandered on an exciting prospect that may never be available.

Perrrault won't be in the top 10. Leonard is Wood with talent. Not as big but is a nasty, hardworking SOB. Nasty as in just hard to play against because his motor is on 11 all the time.

most observers of the USNDT feel it was leonard who drove that line with smith and perrault. i would be thrilled with perrault, haltusen or stramel at 19

i wouldn't be surprised if moore turns out to be the 3rd best player from this draft. he might be the fastest guy in this draft and he is another guy who has a non-stop motor which he combines with a very high hockey IQ.

i wouldn't be opposed to Davidson using 19 and a couple of 2nd round picks to move up to snag him but i don't see any way some team will pass on moore.

there are just so many good prospects in this draft i also don't think its wise to give up assets to make a move to grab a player unless its a guy your scouts can't do without.

i will hope for leonard, expect moore, and get wood.
