That was a wild 80's style game with the goals.

What is becoming even more clear is that Tkachuk is a top 3 player in this league.. He is simply unreal.

Keep him contained and B's win... He influences the outcome at all and B's lose, simple as that.

If Boston ices Swayman, then Boston has to go with Swayman the rest of the way if it wins, right?

FLA has enough secondary weapons to punish BOS if it overcommits to stopping Tkachuck. BOS was overall bad and it still almost won in FLA yesterday so I don't think the coaching staff will change much.

And I agree: Tkachuck's a top 3 player. His leadership and fearless play exemplify what makes the Conn Smythe award, IMO, the third most important individual trophy in hockey (next to the Jack Adams and Lady Byng awards, of course).

Gotta be Swayman.
Ullmark is not on his game right now.

Panthers have lost two games in the series in which Tkachuk scored. He's one player, and while dominant at his position, certainly not a "top 3 player in the league." Maybe top 3 winger if exclusively looking at recency bias of only the last two years. Pastrnak has been a far superior winger over his career. Tkachuk needs a lot more elite seasons to be in the same consideration.

If give a choice I think most would take Tkachuk - he’s done it with 2 entirely different squads which is the difference - B2B years - so difficult -

Bruins need to give Swayman a chance.

If he wins, keep laying him until he loses.
Then go back to Ulmark.

A good friend in Springfield told me when the regular season ended she did not like matching up against the Panthers. So I know at least one person who thought this was going to be a dogfight and could go seven.

Anyway, you start Swayman and worry about the next series after you win.

I picked Florida in seven on this very site. Bruins had injuries at the end of the season.

Bruins had injuries? They are already a deep team then they put a couple guys on LTIR before the trade deadline which allowed them to load up a bit more. Basically they pulled a Kucherov on the salary cap. FLA is just a difficult matchup for Boston.

Bergeron, Krejci, Ullmark are either missing time or likely playing injured. Those are significant issues. Injuries to a 1C, 2C, and 1G create problems for even the deepest teams. What specific matchup problems does Florida present that any other EC playoff team doesn't?

No different than Cassidy sticking with Rask even though Rask was clearly not up to snuff and dinged up. Monty has done an outstanding job, but I don't get not giving Sway a start before now. The two platooned extremely well all season (hey, Sway won 25 of the 65). They should have stuck with what was clearly working vice the "standard" single goalie for the playoffs.

CapFriendly has Bruins in 11th for Cap hit.
Playoff Teams with greater cap hit than Bruins are Vegas, Edm, TB, Leafs, Car and ... the Panthers.

But sure, it's exactly the same as what TB did...

Rule 10
A hand pass occurs when a player stops, knocks down, or pushes the puck with their open hand, thereby directing the puck to a teammate in the neutral or attacking zone. This includes where the puck deflects off any person or object prior to the teammate gaining possession and control of the puck.

Can anyone explain how that puck was "directed" to a teammate? He was picking up his stick after being crosschecked to the ice.

Watching it at .25, it looked like he swatted it forward and grabbed his stick in one fell swoop. It seemed like the right call.

Enjoy Game 7. Should be a good one!

Panthers deserved the series.
To win at the Garden 3 games…kudos.
I hope they bury the Leafs.

On any other team in the League he's below average

He's lucky he's on BOST

This season was kinda like getting a chocolate chunk sundae.

Looks great at first. But then you find out those chunks aren't chocolate.
