Thanks Michael.

Myers can play top 4 minutes but doesn't mean he's good at it. Much better suited to a 3rd pairing role at half his contract.

I would think trading Miller before the NMC becomes active is of paramount importance. While I wouldn't have loved that Miller trade, Granlund was about as bad as it gets from Hextard.

Myers would look good in Ottawa with a lesser role. Eat 1.5 million and send him to an up-and-coming team which has outwardly expressed an interest in acquiring defensemen.

Trading both would be ideal.

I don't like the guy but it would be hard for our GM to give up on his production:

2019-2020 69gm 27g 45a 72pts
2020-2021 53gm 15g 31a 46pts
2021-2022 80gm 32g 67a 99pts
2022-2023 81gm 32g 50a 82pts

At least Miller would have been a high risk high reward trade. Granlund was a high risk low reward trade that only a brain dead retard like Hextall would do.

Any trade involving Miller would only be the beginning of a big shift in roster upheaval. Not a thrilling UFA list. Cannot see weakening the C position is realistic. More of a rebuild than a retool if it happens & be more major surgery indeed.

Funny posted about this in last blog. These trade rumors will hang all off season.

The thing about Myers he doesn’t get his 5mill bonus until September. He’s trade-able after that for teams needing to make cap floor on the cheap.

As for JTM I don’t see it happening. Canucks won’t move him unless the offer is huge. They don’t need to move him and they rather keep him. Even if they miracle win the lotto they could play JTM with the rookie.

I can’t see them moving him if they wanna win, that said, if they want a culture shift and can get a good package for him it’s not unimaginable.

The guy has 299 points in 283 games for the Canucks organization. He’ll be the second fastest player to 300 points in Canucks history behind only Bure, who did it in 246 games. EP40 is currently second at 306 games to 300 points.

Myers is on a contract year. His best hockey will be played this year. He will be a big trade asset at the deadline. With that in mind don't hope for draft picks in return expect prospects.

I think Canucks make a move for a 3C. They will trade that draft pick once they are reminded that they are the Canucks and have no chance of winning a draft lottery.

I still think we don't see OEL this year and Canucks will swoop in on Gavrikov at a reasonable price and trade their first round pick for another Dman.

6th leg. Modo leads series 3-2.

Lekkerimaki's squad in elimination game tied at 1 going into the 3rd.

Can I choose "all of the above"? All four teams that are leading have issues that could prevent them for closing out the series tonight, especially Carolina. So banged up.

If I had to bet on it, I would say Boston and Seattle advance, Carolina and Dallas will have to wait.

If Dubois doesn’t resign in the Peg, maybe a Miller for Dubious swap?

After the lotto draw next Monday that pick can come in play. They might hang on to it until they are on the clock trying to solicit the biggest return.

Myers at TDL makes sense even if they are still in the playoff hunt. But if they want Gravikov or to add to blue line for the season they should move Myers in September.

OEL will have to suffer a training injury set back to not start the season. They won’t buy him out.

If you want.

I think if I had to chose one it would be Colorado pushes it to 7.

I don't know about Florida, depending on whether they have a goalie that shows up at all.

Say Carolina, Dallas are through to the next round.

Isn't it a given that Tampa is going to win in 7?
