Little too late IMO… PK has been god awful PP has not been much better. Team lacking any semblance of star power and the absence of key players like JEE making it difficult.

Billy needs to address the teams center position in the off-season and get some guys in here that can win some face offs. Lack of face off wins is primary reason for losing this series.

Was by no means expecting a cup run this season but sure would have loved to see a first round victory…

We're obviously banged up but this is just a sad way to end the season. Hard to follow minny sports that's for sure.

NOT the effort I expected with their season on the line. In front of the home fans too. Just not good enough.

Pathetic effort the last two games. Foligno gets 5 and a match penalty and the team is so fragile they wilt. Pretty weak leadership group that can’t get the team up after a little adversity. Kaprizov, Zuccarello, Boldy, Spurgeon and Brodin with a big disappearing act. Gus didn’t come up with the big saves after Game 1. Evason looks like Boudreau. Great regular season coach and a dud in the playoffs.

What can be said?!? Just an embarrassing way to lose a playoff series. I can stomach losing, but the manner in which this squad loses is like somebody cut their nuts off.

I just can’t wrap my head around how a team can look so good one or two games and so absolutely average if not bad the rest.

Not taking anything away from Oettinger, but the Wild tend to make even the most mediocre goalies look like the second coming of Jacques Plante. Wild had at least a dozen gimme goals that they just plain missed over the course of 3 straight losses.

Whatever, I’m just disgusted with this club right now.

While I am a component of winning and losing as a team, the coach does make the decisions and I believe Evason has some Boudreau in him. Very good regular season, not enough adjustments and playoff success. Losing a series again after being up 2 games to 1. I really feel that if Gus plays that 2nd game, things could have been different. Maybe Dallas still wins, but if what if the Wild won that 2nd game too? I guess we'll never know.

Evason too ego driven… No right minded coach would have started any goalie other than a healthy Gustavsson after that game one performance.

Paul Maurice… he got his underdog team to bring the best team in the history of NHL hockey to game seven.. and I’m not saying Florida is by any means a bad team, but woefully undermanned and scraped their way into the playoffs. They have character, grit and determination. That’s what inspires fans

My take on putting MAF in for Game 2 is that it’s an unforced error. They had momentum with Gus and Evason’s explanation, ‘that’s what we do’ is brain dead. The regular season and playoffs are two different animals. If something isn’t broken you leave it alone. It’s like Evason gave a game away just to be stubborn. That was really mind boggling.

Absolutely correct! So far this playoff season there have been 4 elimination games. Tampa, Colorado, and two by Florida. In each of those 4 games, the teams played each shift as it could be their last. All three of those teams currently have won those games. Just did not see that same effort from the Wild in their attempt.
