Screw that BOS. What a coward.

Winning is fun - Winning is fun…

This is what happens when you tank … you’re screwed at the TDL because you’ve depressed all the value of the guys you’re trying to trade…

No one wants your trash.

Pretty much, the Ducks will get pennies on the dollar for damn near everyone except Rico who conveniently got injured.
I heard an interesting take on Thrun and why he's with the Sharks. At first, I couldn't figure out why he'd want to go from one bad team on the west coast to another one. Fortunately, Ducks management decided to play some golf today and I happened to be there. The one guy I talk to all the time said they noticed something different during the rookie camp last year. Thrun and Lacombe were both excited at the start of camp but as things progressed, Thrun did not have as much enthusiasm while LaCombe was still having fun and talking to the guys. The management guy speculated that Thrun figured out that he was not going to be a big fish in a small pond but there were much more talented defensemen in front of him in the system. If he stayed with the Ducks, he would probably be a 5/6 defenseman, whereas with the Sharks, they don't have anyone in their system so he's going to be top 4 easily. Thrun probably would have spent most of next year in San Diego. All speculation of course, but it made sense to me. At least he didn't lie to the Ducks faces like that piece of sh!t Justin Schultz!

Regarding the coward.. yeah.. I didn't see him being in Ana anytime soon.

Luneau / Warren / Helleson / Vaaks / LaCombe and of course baby Z along with Pavel not to mention Jamie were all gong to present guys to try and climb over... I don't want a guy afraid of competition anyhow.

Thrun made the smart play… He has a much better chance of breaking through sooner in San Jose. Ducks are well stocked on the blue line. Always hurts to lose an asset, but for PV, nice job of turning nothing into something. Looking forward to the first time Terry or Zegras turn Thrun inside out.

Yeah, it makes sense financially for him, too. He'll make a lot more money playing in San Jose than he would be playing in San Diego.
