Why wasn't Tomasino on the roster since the beginning of the season? He put up a healthy 32 points in his rookie campaign. That puzzled me.

He's a bit undersized and doesn't fit Hynes preference for big body hard hitting grinders which put him on a short leash, so when didn't come out firing on all cylinders in the pre-season, he was sent down. Hynes doesn't have a lot of patience for players who don't fit his system or personal tastes. Tomasino was better off anyway getting minutes in the AHL instead of likely watching games from the pressbox with Tolvanen watching guys like Cole Smith and Mark Jankowski light up the scoreboard. Sadly, I don't see Tomasino coming into his own in Nashville as long as Hynes is the Head Coach.

Nashville will probably beat Boston at home tonight. You can't predict what this team will do. Losing at home in a must win game against Arizona was just awful.

My thoughts too. This team is probably the most difficult to judge in the NHL from a betting perspective.

Well said. It seems like Hynes is great at getting one or two strong, unprecedented seasons from players but is not in the business of developing players into their full potential long term. Tolvanen was exhibit A of trying to mold players to a system as opposed to creating a system to unlock what a player is meant to be. Very disappointing. Making players who were drafted to be offense-heavy into a 200ft player is comical at times. Ovechkin and the Trotz system is a rare, rare exception. And we, of course, have no Ovechkin.

Join the club, dubc. The whole state of affairs surrounding the Preds has left us puzzled for years.

Can’t score a goal at home and lose to AZ.
SELL. Can the G.M and coach. These guy’s don’t want to play for this Coach or they are all prima-don’s.

Let there be no mistake, Poile is 100% responsible for this poop show on ice! They had better d@mn well be selling whatever they can at the deadline. Ownership needs to can Poile at the end of the season. Enough is enough!

Apparently, some things may be about to be put in motion. From this morning quoting Pierre LeBrun:

I sat through that crap last night with more Bruins fans than Preds fans. Preds team on ice couldn't have won against an AHL team much less the best in the NHL. That game was embarassing to to me as a Preds fan having to sit with Bruins fans all around me. Time for heads to roll starting with Poile.
