Same with Boston. This is a tactic that is very effective against the Leafs. They simply do nothing to protect their goalies. The Habs ran Samsonov at least 4 times last night the only goalie interference penalty called was on Jarnkrok when he was pushed into Montembeault. It's called rarely and unless you have a defender that will to lay an oops upside the head it can be very effective.

Not sure what that had to do with the game last night. Habs were let into the game when Suzuki outworked first Gio, then Kampf, then Holl along the boards for the puck and passed to wide open Anderson. They tied it by passing past three forwards to set up a 3-on-2. The real gutter play was the Leaf’s attention and energy levels

Not sure what that had to do with the game last night. Habs were let into the game when Suzuki outworked first Gio, then Kampf, then Holl along the boards for the puck and passed to wide open Anderson. The tying goal came off a rush when the rebound was chipped over Samsonov. The forwards got left behind on that play. Gio, Kampf and Holl got outworked by Suzuki on the first goal. That’s simple lack of effort.

He was shaken up at least twice, slow to recover and once had his skates kicked out from underneath him without a call. This was on the same shift that Janrkrok was called for goaltender interference. It is an effective tactic agaist the Leafs IMO.
