Went to the game Thursday and also going tomorrow... The B's are damn good.

Even more impressive in person than on TV. Their Regroups are really well executed and the pressure they apply in the O zone with puck control is strong.

They aren't perfect still saw the kings have some solid looks and they were weak on a few D zone sequences .. but hey who is perfect.

I will say I have no idea how 63 stayed in the game after his temper tantrum. I don't know if they showed it on tv.. but he went way overboard and I thought for sure he was getting 2/10 and game misconduct for that act.

Even with DeBrusk out B's still look like the best team in the league...

Which is really bad news for my Ducks tomorrow.

Montgomery was great for the Bues also. Just keep him away from booze and gambling. Good for Frederic also. Native st louisan Happy for both of the and the Bruins for a great start to the season.

Yep. Hope the deal gets done before the playoffs. He will get whatever he wants on the open market if it comes to that.

Its coming any day now and it will be less than the reported 88 million dollar deal.

You would think the deal would have been ready to go the second he was available to sign an extension. Starting to feel a little bit like the Johnny Gaudreau situation. Really hope that doesnt happen.

If he signs an extension, my guess is going to be 8yr, 92M-96M. 11.5-12 per. Full NMC for the first 5-6 years and a (frank) ton of signing bonus money.

I'm hoping not...I hope "some" of Bergeron has rubbed off on him in relation to team first mentality. Of course that mentality doesn't help his agent as much...

I think if Pasta was taking a hometown discount, the deal would be done already. Just a feeling. Given his goal pace, I can easily see a team giving him the an AAV higher than MacKinnon on the open market.

Really hoping Sweeney has this done before the playoffs, but im not going to hold my breath.

There is no way the players association will stand for him taking a large haircut on the contract. Just pay him and deal with the consequences later. This isn't some 2nd -3rd liner. This guy is elite period. Elite player = Elite Money. Stop (frank)ing about.

I am hopeful that this is the reason for the delay. I think they are waiting to get confirmation of the rise. I doubt the NHLPA is going to get in a way of a player accepting a couple million less so that his team has more money to spend on other players.

Gaudreau just took less money to NOT be in Calgary...

Pastrnak has been outspoken about not playing hockey for money so i don't think the delay is money related. I am not worried yet but i also don't fully understand why the delay sooo who knows.
