Kravs is unfortunately looking more and more like an underwhelming player.

Who would have thought Reaves was a wasted signing??

The signing wasnt a waste, resigning him was. we chose to keep Reaves over Motte, if theres anything that makes you wonder… there it is.

Gotta see what Kravs has to offer playing at least 10-15 game straight. Still an unknown

Question is can he even play 10-15 games straight without splitting a hair and forcing him to sit out for 2-3 games.

Candy, legos, crossing the street without supervision, hot stoves, tables with sharp corners, staircases

I have taken a long time to get to this point, but I now agree with you Jan. Time for Reaves to go. I have been waving the pom poms for him long enough. He can still hit, but he doesn't fight enough to justify a spot on the roster and to count against our cap.
His presence in the locker room is a positive, but he is a luxury this team can no longer enjoy....

Get him to agree to retire and keep him in the org with some position that suits his strengths

If the team were clicking offensively 5x5, there would not be so much dump Reaves talk, although he is a luxury and not bringing back Motte was a mistake.

Theres no way Trochek will be on the 3rd line. However Ive mentioned it before, with Chytil's improved play it could be interesting to see him center the 2nd line, but then have Trochek moved to RW on that line allowing Trochek to still take those faceoffs when need be.

Ive been saying for a while now that I want Kreider on the 3rd line at even strength. Oddly enough hes been taking more faceoffs under GG than in his previous years, so I pose this...

LAF, Ziba, Kakko
Panarin, Chytil, Trochek
Vesey, Kreider, Gauthier
Goodrow, Korczak, Blais

If they were clicking 5x5, but they havent, they havent since GG got here and before. Reaves isnt the problem, hes the easy scapegoat, but hes also not helping at this point.

Kreider is our 3C and Ryder Korczak is getting a callup based on what?

Youre right, Carpenter has been so good to this point, might as well leave him in the lineup.

I’m not going to lay the teams offensive woes on GG. We’re at the quarter pole right now and the “kids” have accomplished nothing. Drury was between a rock and hard place with them, he had to find out if their playoff run was the real deal. It’s not. Maybe he should have dumped them, san Chytil, and brought back Vatrano, at least he knows how to shoot and can skate.

Not making him a scapegoat. But they need the cap and he isn’t really contributing anything. Plus, signing him before last year - which may have been done to send a message as to team construction - has locked up and cap space

Motte started off like gang busters for Ottawa, but just like Ottawa, he's had a terrible november

I understand the desire to have spent Reaves money in better way, but another bottom 6 guy is not the Rangers problem

the biggest Rangers problem right now is that Lafreniere and Kakko cant score goals

Maybe we have a much deeper rooted problem within the organization with the inability to develop players.

Look at Cole Caufield, before MSL got in there and totally changed the mentality of the team, everyone was ready to call him a bust. Well, after MSL took over, hes been the furthest thing from that.
