Carol Schram: The Canucks open a 2-game homestand after eking out a road win in Buffalo The Vancouver Canucks closed out their five-game road trip with a 5-4 win over their expansion cousins in Buffalo, but will face the top two teams in the Pacific Division as they return to Rogers Arena.

Thanks Carol.

I agree Northy. Watched the game and the Oilers reaction definitely turned the tide in the Kings favour.

Absolutely. The Ulf Samuelsson school of defense.

Cheers Carol, thought the same thing on the Edler hit when I saw the replay.

I respectfully disagree however that Miller’s production is close to his 99 points from last season. 16 points in 17 games puts him on a 77 point pace, which is almost a 25% reduction in output. Still, near point a game is an accomplishment that not many players achieve. Should make him an attractive trade acquisition when the Canucks finally decide to blow it up.

Kings on a back to back, special teams advantage for Canucks, but first game after a tough road trip. Bit of a coin flip. 4-3 in overtime for whoever gets their PP going.

I don't think he is a dirty player, but I think he is slow and once he gets caught out of position he drags the leg and sometimes has very bad results. I think it is a reactionary drag and not an intentional drag.

I don't think that hit on CM was dirty, he hit him with the upper body, but the leg was dragging again seeing he was going to get beat again.

Doesn't matter, JTM is a hot mess in his own end.

Edler at 3.5 million > OEL at 9.5 million

Yup. At least he steps up at the blueline and makes the hit against one of the fastest players in the game.

Canucks are 5-4-1 in their last 10, the should be looking at going all-in, not blowing it up.

Dreaming of Miller to CBJ for one of their many RHD

I am going to go a different direction on this CBJ rumor and say Miller for Laine straight up.

Shorter contract for Canucks. Laine always injured and they need someone for Johnny Hockey.

It’s absolutely disgusting. I can’t think of a player ever who threw as many dirty knee on knees as Edler has. I used to cringe when he was a Canuck and would do it. Deliberate attempt to injure.

He’s famous for sticking his knee out, he did it probably a dozen times a year, but as he gets older and slower, it’s becoming blatant even to the most oblivious of fans.

I noticed it a lot more as he got older. I don't think he intends to injure someone, and I think it more reactionary, but everyone sees it differently.

I think CBJ will do money for money. Canucks get out of 8 years of Miller and CB get out of always injured Laine.
