"The New York Islanders were shut out by the Arizona Coyotes at home last night losing 2-1."

At least they made hockey history by being the first team ever to score a goal while being shut out.

Between our PK earlier in the season and scoring while being shut out this Islanders team continues to do things that no team has ever done.

Looking at Bridgeport page, team is off to a nice start. Bolduc putting up good numbers after a bad 21/22 campaign. What’s his deal? I know he’s big but can he skate?

Separately looks like Raty and Dufour are already jumping Holmstrom on the depth chart. Not by much, but they’re putting up better points in their first seasons.

First time I have looked at their stats this season and to be honest they are not really that inspiring. Just from looking at it, not actually watching the games, it doesn’t look like Raty or Dufour are really tearing it up there…

Agree on Raty and Dufour, although I’m sure it’s an adjustment playing at the AHL level, relative to what they’re used to. Holmstrum has been in the league 3 or 4 seasons now and his numbers are meh. Bolduc, on the other hand is tearing it up. Especially for a D man. I’ve never seen him play, but I’m
Gonna search some YouTube clips shortly. If he can skate and move the puck, we might have our third pair d man in-house.

Yeah I’m sure it will take some time to adjust. Hopefully two or three of these kids turn out for us.

Isles need to get back into the win column tonight. I will not be watchin the game, so if they loose its on you guys. Got that piggy !!!

Question do islander fans boo Johnny Hockey extra tonight? And for those who Johnny might be second guessing himself. He has 9.75 Million reasons not to be sad.

1st bold: And I WILL be watching, but on TV, where the team has far more success than when I attend a game in person.

2nd bold: No. Based on Columbus's record so far, it appears he did us a big favor by not signing with the Isles.

It did, but I'm still not getting a good feeling about this game. No great chances for either team through 20 minutes..........not impressive when they're playing the last place Blue Jackets. Too much time being spent in their own zone.

By the way, is this your first time at UBS Arena?

Love the Arena. The Coliseum may have had tradition, but it had turned into a dump.

Wow. What a pass! Finally woke up, we looked like complete poop up until that shift.

Edit: and then we give them 2 glorious chances.

This team isn’t good enough to play down to their competition. And they’re making painfully obvious that if Sorokin goes down for any length of time this team is well and truly facked.
