Having players like Yamamoto (ones who can play well with skilled players, even if they are not great away from them) is exactly what a team like the Oil needs, the GM just need to be able to identify that and not pay them 3 mil plus per season. That's how guys like Kassian and Anson Carter (and possibly Yamamoto and Poolparty) get overpaid and kill a cap.
Holloway has looking like a much better option to start in the top 6, and if Poolparty is indeed much better while away from McDrai, then put him on the 3rd line. It's not like playing with McLeod and RNH is a bad place to be.
I like Poolparty (as weird of a kid as he is), I don't like the 3mil though. I kind of wonder if he is using an old set of Hall's skates out there though, he seems to have the same issues with staying upright that Hall did a lot of the time. |

Maybe if he wasn't getting paid more than Bear is.
How the hell did that happen. |

"Let's sign a terrible player to a PTO, despite a high likelihood of him sexually assaulting a player. Who cares if the PR is bad, people stuck around when we signed Kane, despite his errors being FAR less egregious"
"Oh wait, Virtanen sucks at hockey? May as well cut him!"
Just inept. Anyone who's ever watched a second of hockey would tell you Virtanen sucks, and that giving him a PTO was incredibly (frank)ing stupid. |

All that got hurt here is people's feelings. In order to have success in life one would be wise to "look under every rock". They looked, the tried it, the put him back under the rock. Story over.
Also, I'm by no means trying to blame the victim here but shining the focus 100% on the hockey players is not always fair. There are plenty of situations where the girl is the aggressor, seeking out these young men, putting them in certain positions, and then when they get rejected they call foul. No one knows the nuances and details of each and every situation but there are several situations where the integrity of the girls waiting outside the dressing rooms, the buses, and hotels can easily be questioned. In many situations it certainly doesn't matter if the girls heavily pursued the boy, the boy was wrong...but to blame the hockey boy 100% of the time is just not right.
In today's #metoo culture, Dean Youngblood would easily be cancelled for forcing himself on innocent Ms. McGill...but SHE is the one that actually brings the tea. I mean, who didn't bang their billet? Lol |

"On the second straight day of cross-examination, the lawyer representing Jake Virtanen in his jury trial for sexual assault suggested the complainant could have lied about having a yeast infection or said she was menstruating if she really didn't want to have sex with the former Canuck.
'I thought saying no, I don't want to do this and physically pushing him off of me was enough", she replied... 'What else did I have to say?'"
F uck off, dude. |
